A Foine Romance Or A Messi Marriage?

It seems that when it comes to Lionel Messi and Antonella Roccuzzo’s relationship status, even our overactive imaginations have failed to keep up with actual events.
Deep breaths.
Remember last week when we assumed the couple were back ‘on’? This assumption was based, quite reasonably, on photos of the couple draped all over one another on a boat. Now it seems that we are in the rare position of potentially ‘underselling’ the story – a last-season-look that does not suit us at all. A rumour from what is being touted as a ‘reliable’ Twitter account, has stated that Leo and Antonella actually got married whilst in Ibiza for the summer break.
Yes, you read that right. Argentine football commentator Marcelo Araujo has stated that the couple tied the knot on their hols, with Dani Alves and Leo’s cuz on the limited guest list.
Let us state, for the record, that there has been no confirmation from any official source. Indeed, Spanish paper ‘Sport’ has run a story claiming a denial has been issued by Leo’s family. Meanwhile, Araujo has put his very career on the line by stating ‘if this is false, I will shut down my (Twitter) account”.
Well. Your guess is as good as ours, Kickettes. Have at it.

So assuming they are promise rings. Why would he need that? A serious man would just pop the question and put an engagement ring instead. Sounds fishy.

Well, if they did get married, congratulations to them both. And congratulations to them both anyway, even if all they did was get back together. It's nice to see people in happy relationships, regardless of their ring status.

Marcelo Araujo is an old dinosaur who cannot work anymore. I hate him. A lot. And they didn't get married, but she's living with him again and they are planning to tie the knot, maybe next year (or so they say in my city, Rosario).

I cannot imagine how sometimes your jobs can be so difficult in the sense that it might just break millions of hearts. I'm not fond of Antonella, to be honest but if Leo's happy then all (should be) is well in the world. For now. On the bright side, at least he looks good without needing to try too hard, unlike *ahem* Cristiano *ahem*.

it's just that their footballing rivalries are so exaggerated by websites like Goal.com ..who happen to compare the urmm..social networking skills (I'm not joking!) that it is inevitable that some sort of comparison arises in every other aspect too.
