A Ruffle Most Fashionable

This right here? This the shirt of the Most Fashionable Footballer 2009, Kickettes. The ruffles, give it away really. They scream “I’m a winner” even more than the humongous trophy does.

Who is the man receiving this prestigious accolade? Evgeniy Levchenko, from FC Groningen. Last month, he was deemed the most stylish by the Dutch version of Esquire magazine. He was nominated by 11 players from the Dutch first league and subsequently selected as a style icon.

Thierry Henry, David BeckhamSince we don’t know much about Evgeniy, (except for his penchant for posing with large snakes on his head), we can’t speculate on his sartorial gifts. But we can weigh in on who we would give the title to. Rio Ferdinand, Christoph Metzelder, Becks,  Thierry Henry and about half of the Serie A league would be in contention if we were in charge of such awards.

Side note: Why exactly aren’t we in charge of such awards again?
