A Catch up in the Change Rooms

imageSorry Kickettes.

We know we should be discussing the wide range of topics that sprung out of last night’s Champions League game between Arsenal and Manchester United – the wrongful sending off of Darren Fletcher, the bomb sweep in the stands, Kieran Gibbs mental state, Cesc Fabregas’s girlfriend Carla’s “bitch, please” frustrated facial expression, and Cristiano Ronaldo’s shocking decision to keep his shirt on at match-end, for example.

But, when we look at these photos of Gary Neville, his BFF David Beckham and Ryan Giggs taken after the game in the United changing room, we only want to talk about these two things:

-Giggsy’s salt and pepper chest hair. Does he use a grade II level trimmer on that light-weight rug of glory? And;

-Is he eating fish and chips or chicken and chips? We think fish, but this is really something we would feel better about if it was formally confirmed.

Quick poll: were we the only ones who squealed like piggies when the shots of David arriving in the stands flashed up? FYI, Mathieu Flamini and Jens Lehmann were also in the stands with Becks.

Well done to the Red Devils who are on their way to Rome for the finals.

HUH?! can i see PICTORIAL evidence of Ms Cesc’s BITCH PLEASE EXPRESSION?! por favor?

  2. Lola says:

*stares st giggsy* *feels like a traitor* *continues staring anyway* I didn't see last night's match so can't comment on anyone's performance or on the red card. But try keeping me away from tonight's match. *Gives her barca boys stern look* You know what to do… now do it.

  3. Meer. says:

    *cough*…Kieran Gibbs…*cough*

Wow, we made it! Great goals and efforts from our lads. Ronaldo was my definite MOTM, with his 2 goals and an assist on Park. I was a little upset that there was indeed no shirt-removal. Oh, if you’re reading Cris: very, VERY disappointing.

I loved the fact that Becks was there plus we need to thank him for this inside-the change-room sneak peak.

And ofcourse sending off Darren was total BS. A penalty, ok, but a red card? That stupid stuffed cannoli must have felt like he didn’t steal the show, didn’t get enough attention. Well, you’ve got it alright *makes evil plans*. Let’s just hope UEFA wisens up and undoes it all.

  4. Rida says:

CARLAS BITCH FACE? Have a picture?! How could i have missed it?

Oh maybe it aired on tv WHILE I WAS IN TEARS :(

  5. Jo says:

Went all gooey and nostalgic when I saw these pics. Then wolf-whistled at Giggsy.

  6. Maga says:

awww Giggsy’s not a Captain Caveman anymore- thank god ‘99 is long gone.

  7. invertedquestionmark says:

Nope, all United fans were more than happy to see him, he’s a legend. smile

  8. nando_iker_lover says:

okay, i know that giggs is old, but he's oh-so-lovely. i LOVE his steely stoicism. he deserves a trophy for that stare alone.

  9. izzy says:

Fletcher who? Pictures of Becks have a tendency to erase my short-term memory. His face popping up on the screen was just the icing on the cake yesterday. As the reds go marching ON ON ON! Rome here we come!

  10. RedDeviless says:

Giggsy's a legend :D Fletch shouldn't have been sent off though-I may or may not have declared Cesc to be a soup-throwing midget *ahem* I think cesc's cute but my loyalties are with United…

  11. RedHeart says:

I feel my fellow United ladies have summed it up well. In a nutshell: a bittersweet victory. Looking forward to the 27th!

  12. The Fourth Official says:

Congratulations, boys! Brilliant brilliant performance from the entire team. GLORY GLORY! Regarding Darren's red card, pouring insults on Rossetti (who happens to be a very fine ref) is childish. Decisions go for us, they go against us, that's football. As painful as it is for an honest player like Darren to miss the biggest game of his career, we will reply the way we did in 1999, when Scholes and Keane missed the final due to harsh red cards. We will win the Champions League. The bigger issue is the inability to appeal such a card Emily is the expert on Giggsy's chest hair. She could write a thesis on it. Em, where are you? Loved David's obvious happiness for us last night.

WE ARE GOING TO ROME AND THAT'S A FACT:PNo Kickette, you're not the only one whose excited to see Becks,we all were:D Lastly,if there's justice in this world,Dazza will be available for selection for the final in Rome:)

  14. HiL says:

WOOHOO!!! you have no idea how thrilled i was yesterday. And Kickette, you're not the only one LOL when they shot David rubbing his hands against each other with joy it was so funny and cute =P

  15. Dreamgirl says:

What a fantastic match. The boys did us proud Sad evening for Darren. But I'm confident his day at a CL final will come. I'm impressed that you are all looking at Giggsy's chest hair. I am completely mesmerized by those hip dips.I was thrilled to see Becks obviously loving the match. Looks like his heart is still very much in Manchester.

  16. aristeia says:

It was a valid red. Maybe the rule needs to be better defined or adjusted, but it's still relevant to the rule. United has a deep and talented bench, I'm sure they'll find someone quite worthy to fill the gap. Oooh, Giggs is delightfully furry there! Tee hee!

  17. c9 says:

*Ssssqqquuuueeeee* The 3 of them together in one place, oh such a beautiful sight. Memories come flowing through at this point!! Thanks kickette for your devotion to this topic as well :) By the way it was jaw droppingly shocking to see Cris NOT remove his shirt at the end of the match *pouts*!!!!

  18. MrsXabiAlonso says:

Arsenal depressed the hell out of me last night. From 8 minutes in they had no fight whatsoever. I'm just hoping Barca win tonight now, cos I am sop fed up of all the All English clashes.I am very impressed with Giggs chest rug control. And next to Neville you really do appreciate just how pretty David Beckham is.I was also very happy with Van Peachy's levels of hotness last night.

  19. carly says:

I'm liking Giggs's poise, while half naked and eating. Classy :)

Cheers Meer… we obviously have Giggsy on the brain! x

Just realized HiL said the same thing! :-)

  23. Nata_red says:

was glad to see Becks in stands… looked great you say, Giggs is 35 … hmm, sleeping in a fridge?

  24. Wazza's Freckles says:

So sad for Darren. But otherwise a very sweet victory. Yes, Gibbs could have done better for Arsenal for the first goal. But Cristiano’s free kick was phenomenal. And the third goal was an astonishing counter attack. Patrice said after the game that it was men against children and I couldn’t agree more. Rome on the 27th will be AMAZING.

  25. Meer. says:

Psst, kickette, I don’t want to be smarty-pants, but it’s Kieran with an A. I’ll be quiet now.

  26. Rossi´s girl says:

all of them are looking great, even Gary LOL

  27. Emily (Giggsy's Gal) says:

Yeeeeesssss!!!! Fantastic match from our lads — all of them played so brilliantly. I was so proud!! :D :D :D Absolutely gutted for Fletch, but I agree with Fourth that the real problem is the lack of appeal available. That rule needs to be looked at carefully and changed. So glad you’ve put these photos up on the home page, Kickette. Our lovely Boston Red found these for us last night and put them in the MUS thread. There are so many delicious things about Ryan in this photo: the naked torso, the arm muscles, the jawline, the low-riding shorts, the happiness at seeing his old buddy, Becks. As for his chest hair, I doubt he trims it or gets rid of it. The thick, dark hair on his head has been thinning a bit and going a bit grey (phhhwroarrr!! Sophisticated yum!), and the chest hair has been following suit. It’s been thinning out and going a bit grey over the past couple of years, too. And yes, I have spent many long hours studying his torso over the years. :P

  28. Emily (Giggsy's Gal) says:

Don’t fight it, Lola. Give in to the temptation. It’s perfectly natural. Ryan is quite scrummy. Just proves that you’ve got good taste in Welshmen. :P

I laughed my ass off when the camera caught Becks rubbing his hands together & smiling with glee at United’s result. Once a red devil, always a red devil!

Our boys did great yesterday; I’m so proud of them!
