Abbey Clancy: Best New Yummy Mummy Of The Year?

Ten days, Kickettes – it’s barely been 10 days since Abbey Clancy gave birth.

And would you check out that backside?!

Thursday’s shopping appearance at Zara in Liverpool (with equally attractive Mum, Karen) was – what we consider to be – one of the last stops on Clancy’s express train to reputation recovery. We found that with the help of stretch pants normally so unforgiving to the average woman, let alone a new Mum, was reason enough for us to fall back in girlcrush love with Peter Crouch’s missus.

As a matter of fact, we think Abbey’s outstanding service to the global community of MILFs merits public recognition and a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) nomination.

Okay – perhaps that’s a bit extreme, but ever since we hijacked her express train’s beverage car yesterday, the bedazzled bartender has been holding us against our sober workday wills until the last drop of liquor is gone. Bottoms up!

How many of you actually have children and understand how crazy you start to go if you're at home and isolated ALL the time? So what if she took a baby out after 10 days, it'll have to be out in the open air eventually. There's nothing worse/more annoying than people criticising you for the way you raise your children. It's her business, nobody elses.

For everyone bitching and complaining about taking her baby out 10 days later, did you all have your baby in a hospital? Cause if you're not aware hospitals contain more viscious bacteria and viruses then walking into a store with a covered baby in a clean stroller. Ever heard of MRSA? It's a common fatal virus crawling around in hospitals. My mom took me out 7 days later and I never got sick except for the chicken pox and the flu 3 times at 9, 14 and 17 i'm 27 now and have not gotten one sniffle for the last 2 years meanwhile I have several girlfriends crying over taking their babies out in public and refusing to go out, well jokes on them cause their babies got sick. Maybe she was only out for an hour, you weren't there you don't know. Unless we are expecting her legs to get fat than of course she looks "great" but you can see her stomach i'm sure she looks like every other new mom that hasn't gained much weight but still has post preg tummy. Anyone can come out looking great after a baby if they took care of themselves during pregnany and didn't sit on the couch eating twice the amount 3 times a day.

I do understand some of the concern about taking a 10 day old baby out in such a public place. Babies immune systems are not that developed at 10 days old and we all know that public places are a germ fest, particularly in the winter when colds & flus are going around.

Does it make her a bad mom? I don't know about that. I think it's just what you are comfortable with. I'm sure her doctor has advised her about what is safe. Besides, maybe she's so proud of her daughter that she wants to show her off to the world. I can't blame a girl for that.

    And about her body…meh! 19 years later and I'm STILL not there! :'{

  4. Crackers says:

Her bubba is ten days old, not an hour old- if taking your healthy newborn out in a pram is a sign of being a bad mum, I'd better stay inside with my new baby and never get any air or run errands (that is, assuming I ever get pregnant).

Honestly, people. what is with all the judging and calling her names just because she went out to a shop WITH her child? Getting out now and then for some fresh air or shopping is good for you. And if you want to criticise her for spending money, please note she went to Zara and not Cricket – god forbid a new mother might need some clothes or maternity stuff, even the high-street kind.

  5. RedGirl-Mrs.Casillas says:

I agree! My sister gave birth 17 days ago and today she and her boyfriend went out with the baby girl. They just made sure she was fed, with clean diapers and that's it… they had a great time =P

I may not have kids but I know better that NOT all women gain 50 pounds while pregnant. My mom was one of the lucky ones she's always been really thin and only put on about 20 pounds during her pregnancy with me and came out of that hospital being able to fit into size 0 jeans meanwhile my friend who is also a tiny gal gained almost 50 pounds and majority of it had to do with poor eating habits she eventually lost it all going back to her prepreggo body. Every woman is different no reason getting bitter at someone else cause you may have gained weight and they didn't. She looks healthy and i'm sure she's not as "perfect" she could be wearing a control top for all we know those shave off 10 pounds I know lots of women wear it to conceal the leftover pregnancy belly and her midsection is fairly covered as well.up under those pants. Nothing wrong with taking out a newborn for crying out loud women do it daily , I w She's probably also wearing maternity pads women have to wear for 6 weeks after birth as I can see the outline of her panties look bunched under her pants. I wouldn't want to be trapped inside my house 24/7

Newsflash to everyone bitching about germs hospitals carry more viscious bacteria/virus then being in a store, for everyones sake complaining about germs then I suggest you just have a home birth otherwise your baby will die!! So because someone didn't want to stay at home for a month straight cuddling their baby in bed they are a bad mom? or because you didn't feel like going out after birth every other woman has to feel like shit too? Some women need a reality check.

  7. EM. says:

Ugh, some of the comments here make me smh. Judging her and slamming her as a bad mom because she took the baby out 10 days after the baby girl was born or putting her down as a 'golddigger' is in poor taste.

  8. Pamela Marie says:

Personally I feel she's to good and pretty for Peter.

  9. rubyqueen says:

wow abbey looks smokin hot.i hope i look that good ten days after giving birth.but should she be out clothes shopping with the baby.??

  10. C16 says:

I wouldn't want to have my baby out in the streets after just 10 days. But that's just me.
And she definitely looks gorgeous. But damn… Just 10 days and already hitting the streets? Wow.

  11. Isabella says:

don't know who this chick is to be honest… but seriously, taken a 10 day old babeh on a shopping trip is a bit like way too much, hum… I got to be honest, I clicked on this so I could see the picture of her butt better… girlfriend should start doing some butt exercises if 'post-pregnancy super hot' is what she's trying to achieve.

  12. xoWinnie says:

she's a hot lady, but this isn't surprising since she was TINY while pregnant.

  13. suzie says:

wtf…….some people on here have warped ideas about what makes you a good/bad mum. So she took the baby out after 10 days, fresh air is good for a baby, as long as it's dressed warm enough, and babies find the motion of the pram soothing. In fact a health visitor would be more concerned if you haven't left after 10 days -paranoia about germs and being scared to leave the house can be a sign of post natal depression. Seriously, it saddens me how judgemental women are to new mums, especially when they haven't had any children of their own, leave the girl alone. Abbie I think you look great and are obviously loving being a new mum.

  14. lilygold says:

Baby weighed in at 7lbs 9ozs, good weight so I doubt she stopped eating.Just a lucky Spud with good genes.I bet the baby is gorgeous.

  15. lilygold says:

Couldn't finish my comments as my Husband suddenly realised he hadn't bought a Euro Lottery ticket and shouted out loud "Oh My God!" then ran out of the house. Anyway back to Abbey, as said by B+w she probably didn't eat rubbish food and had a kick ass body anyway that just pinged back into shape.

  16. Kristine says:

Just because her ass is small, doesn’t make it nice.

  17. Zahara says:

yes shes hot, but i dunno, she might be a questionable mum.sorry to say, but its what i feel.

  18. Something about this concerns me! During her pregnancy, she did nothing but complain about the maternity clothes she had to wear and what she would or would not eat to get her body back. Did she even enjoy some of the experiences of the pregnancy? Why does she have the baby out so soon? Does she really feel the need to spend money that badly? I'm laughing now because that line from Gone With The Wind keeps popping up in my mind when Rhett tells Scarlett that a cat is a better mother than she is. I'll admit that she looks great, but she should have a little more care with the baby.

  19. Elisa says:

I'm no expert on babies, but I just can't see taking a 10 day old newborn out on a shopping trip. I realize that she probably has nurses and nannies that the rest of us can't afford and is therefore probably running on a bit more sleep than the average new mum, but still. I'd be worried about the little thing getting germs, etc. as she waited around in the dressing rooms and stuff. All of the new parents I've known were in full-on nesting mode then and just wanted to snuggle with their new baby, not shop for new clothes. I realize that I sound kind of judgmental, but this just strikes me as…odd.

  20. Hurrah doormat out walking with her meal ticket . yawnnnn

  21. Hj Kim says:

she looks great but it's still pretty cold in Livepool…right? my son is 9 month old now so I remember very well what it was like when he was 10 day old. you have to feed the baby every 3 hour, and change about 20 daipers a day…my best wish was to sleep more than 3 hours without waking up…
    she is amazing, really.

    • Raincitygirl says:

I don't have kids, but a friend who does has told me she was discouraged by her pediatrician from taking her new baby out too much before he'd had his first set of vaccinations. I mean, could be both she and her doctor were just being paranoid, or maybe infants get their vaccinations earlier in the UK than in Canada, but it seems odd. Not to mention the part where at 10 days postpartum, isn't the baby still in constant eat-sleep-fill diapers mode? You'd think the baby wouldn't give her time to get any shopping done.

      • Hj Kim says:

isn't the baby still in constant eat-sleep-fill diapers mode?
yes yes yes-but you know newborn babies are really unpredictable. sometimes they sleep for more than 3 hours and sometimes they don't sleep a minute all night and keep crying with no reason. sure there's a good reason but you'll never know :)
maybe Abbey's baby is a very good one :D

        • Raincitygirl says:

maybe Abbey's baby is a very good one :D

In that case, lucky her! I have heard of this mythical being, the easy baby, but my friends who've had babies make them sound about as rare as unicorns.

    • @DebStimson says:

my best wish was to sleep more than 3 hours without waking up…

EXACTLY! Although, maybe she has a nanny or her mom helps out so she can get some sleep?

Besides babies at that age get overstimiluated so easily. They may sleep while you're out with them but then are super fussy when they get back home. Anyway, she's doing a lot better than I did only 10 days after giving birth!

      • Hj Kim says:

although ahe's got a nanny or a nurse, the mother has to wake up if she wants to feed the baby directly from her breast. maybe she's not feeding the baby directly, then she can sleep quite enough.

        • @DebStimson says:

yes, I am well aware of breast pumps and how often a newborn eats. I made the assumption that most people here knew that already so I mention it. Sorry ;)

  22. alizanz says:

she looks great but why would you take a 10 day old baby to Zara? do you really need to go shopping right now..?

  23. balicious says:

i can't believe that Abbey gaves birth 10 days ago (!!!) She looks gorgeous, skinny but the butt….nah nah. Her backside is not that great

  24. Vari says:

Kickette, maybe she did not eat enough during her pregnancy just to stay thin?

    • B&W@kickette.com says:

No, no. It can't be so, if that was the case the baby would be under weight and still in an incubator cooking a little bit more! probably eat really healthy while preggers!

    • Sergz says:

If she ate less than recommended just to stay thin, then she is the worst mum ever.

    • dontaskmetosmile says:

The comments about her not eating enough when she was pregnant are just sad. You are basically accusing her of prioritizing her post-baby weight over the well-being of her child! The baby was born with a good weight, so how can anyone come to that conclusion? Not all women gain substantial weight (apart from the baby's weight) during the pregnancy. She probably still ate more than is usual (judging from her baby's weight), but probably still ate the same healthy foods she had before she was pregnant.

The shopping trip, though is not ideal. But it hardly makes her a bad mother. Sheeesh.

    • @DebStimson says:

You can eat correctly and still not put on a lot of weight. It all depends on the mother's metabolism among other things. At least in the US, women, at least those who can afford it, go in to their OBs once a month to during the pregnancy for checkups. They also have to take this big horse pill size vitamins. If the doctor thought she was not gaining enough weight or thought the baby's health was in jeopardy, he/she would have intervened.

A similar thing happened to a friend of mine. She gained approx. 10 lbs with her first baby. She left the hospital wearing her pre-baby clothes. She's has 4 kids now and all are healthy & fine. None of them were premies or had to stay in the hospital after birth.

  25. Jo_ says:

Glad that mum and baby are both fine. She looks lovely.

She look gorgeous with the baby stroll.
