Abbey Clancy: Flower Power
Abbey Clancy fulfilled her catwalk destiny Wednesday night and walked in the Lingerie London show. The show featured couture and luxury lingerie designs by Agent Provocateur and Atsuko Kudo. Unfortunately our favorite lingerie designer, Marks & Spencer, did not show. Maybe next time.
The event was sponsored by The Seven Bar Foundation which “empowers women via microfinance by helping them out of poverty and into business.” Fair play. If skinny, pretty ladies parading around in their skivvies can help empower our fellow sisters then we’re all for it. Just don’t expect us to strip down any time soon.
Abbey’s get up there is pretty, yes? It may look like someone just took a bunch of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup wrappers, coloured them in, and stuck them on a bra and knickers, but it’s not the worst thing in world. The satin wrap dress she wore afterwards is a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen, but since she just showed the world her underthings, she probably didn’t care.
Abbey’s made no secret about her desire to model for American lingerie giant Victoria’s Secret so perhaps this is a good stepping stone for her? We’ll be staying tuned.
