Alex Gerrard: Toasty Tootsies in Liverpool

Alex Gerrard at Jane FullertonYou know there’s only one thing to talk about in this photo, right? And it ain’t how gorgeous Mrs. Gerrard is looking – though she is looking completely foxy.

It’s the boots.

Do you love or do you hate? Our shins are getting sweaty just looking at them. We would, frankly, rather go barefoot. But we know many of you love the warm and cushies, so by all means, speak your truth.

Random: while the photographers were snapping away at Alex, some random in a car skidded on the road and nearly ran over a pap.

    I like the look. I think its fashionable and i tried pulling it off but honestly cant at the moment, cos i definitely need to lose some fat.

    But i know that im definitly going to lose the fat and try and pull off that look. I think that any woman who is confident about herself will look sexy in anything.

    Those shoes are hideous. They look like something a 12 year old would wear. And they are made out of animal skin. Why you would kill an animal and make something so gross out of its skin is beyond me. The jacket too is disgusting. The whole outfit totally makes me want to throw a slushy at her.

    Her hair is looking pretty, though.

    Compared to the last months that’s a pretty bad picture of her. No on the leggings, no on the shirt (a leopard head?? Seriously?), no on the weird ruffled vest or whatever that is and BIG NO NO on the boots. I imagine they’d be the result if an 80’s glam rocker and an astronaut decided to design shoes together. Which is not good.
    I also have to remind myself constantly that Alex is only 3 years older than I am. If I didn’t know I’d say she’s at least in her mid-thirties. She looks downright washed-out here.

    Btw, I hate how people would always go on about how they’d want Alex’ or Cheryl’s hair (even worse since Cheryl has that L’orĂ©al contract). Those are all extensions for Christ’s sake. If you want the hair, go to your hairdresser and buy it. Abracadabra.

    And to say at least SOMETHING nice, I like the bag. ;)

    Wow, is it the snapshot or has she not slept in weeks? She looks really tired and dehydrated.

    Nice hair, though.

    As for the clothes, as a reformed punk, I really dont mind when Alex tries to get in touch with her inner rock chic but theres a fine line between Rock Chic and just plain weird.

    I love the Tshirt but its too short for leggings. (You must get quite the rear view when she takes that weird sweater off.) The leather jacket underneath the sweater looks nice. And the handbag rocks.

    Unlike those boots….how fugly can good money buy?

    She would have totally rocked the look with a nice pair of low heeled leather boots, slightly longer Tshirt, no sleeveless sweater made out of dead muppets, and a week’s worth of good sleep.

    I was going to say that I absolutely loved the outfit. Wasn’t going to fuss about anything. She looked brilliant, the coat looked brilliant, loved the shirt, envied her for the bag. I was going to go into a rant about how much I love Alex Gerrard and how she is a style icon for all time because she always looks SO brilliant…

    …And then, I saw… the boots. Oh God. The boots. I hate those boots. I hate them with a fiery passion. She stole Napoleon Dynamite’s monstrous things and bedazzled them. Horrible, horrible. As the resident Ugg boot hater… I guess I’m the party pooper in this instance.

    I want to be her. God, the girl is absolutely stunning!! I don’t have a problem with the boots, they look better than regular UGGs and I could’ve used a pair of those today when going out for a walk…brrr! It’s cold outside!

    Although, yes, leggings and tights do NOT qualify as trousers. I am sorry. Unless you’re wearing a dress over them, or going to the gym, leave them at home.

    The boots are by Australia Luxe Collective and called Angel Distressed Special Release, the price on the website is 410 bucks. I hate them. :)
    I don’t have a problem with UGGs. I’ve been thinking of getting some to wear when walking the dog and incase there’s some blizzard from hell like we had last year. Plus, they’re vegan shoes!

    I think she looks great. Boots like that are an absolute necessity where I live, (but maybe not in Liverpool). I don’t like the metal stud detailing but they look comfortable and warm and cushy.

    Personally, I’m an uggs girl, but on Alex I prefer heels, she can pull them off and i admire women who do (probably coz I am totaly incapable of it).
    p.s. “Leggins are not pants” is probably a right thing, but if it works on slim girls, so why not?

    love everything about the outfit EXCEPT the ugly ass vest and I still operate under the “LEGGINGS ARE NOT PANTS” philosophy of life.

      Me-ow! Girl, you’re in full hater mode! I doubt her roots look that bad, I as a person who also dyes her hair blonde can totally agree…you can’t dye your hair every two weeks, unless you’re Tom Felton, and I think her roots look fine. They actually make her hair look more real than the bleached white roots that make it so obvious you’ve been dying your hair, making you look Barbie plastic.

    I have absolutely no problem with Uggs. They’re warm and functional and that’s all I really look for in a pair of winter boots. When there is a couple of inches of snow on the ground and the city doesn’t bother to plow, which happens every time it snows, I would much rather be in Uggs than anything else. Why ruin a nice pair of leather boots?
