Alex Curran: The London Launch

This is the last bloody photo and/or mention of Alex Curran’s new perfume.

For at least 5 minutes.

So, here she is, low key as per usual, at her London launch.  We don’t care much for the perfume bottle, but quite like the box though, it looks like it would hold some rather fine chocolate truffles or some nice lacey underoos.  Notice we have said nothing about the dress.  Because to mention the dress would mean we understand it.  And we do not.

Before her Liverpool launch, Alex was quite nervous, saying:

“I honestly didn’t think anyone would turn up. I still can’t really accept that anyone would be interested in me and what I do,” she says with a smile. “Why would anyone bother? I’ve been terrified all morning. I thought: Imagine if no-one comes, how embarrassing that would be. People might think I’m always confident, but I’m not, I’m terrible. Steven said to me this morning: ‘it’s your perfume, just be yourself’ but it’s natural to worry about these things, isn’t it?”

These comments are hilarious! I agree, these are hooker heels made for the pole dancers amongst us but I actually love them. They’re so WAG’d up.  And Unedited mara, I have to start using that expression – bitch big.  LOL So wrong, and yet so right.  Love Alex, she is surely the new queen.

The shoes are the only thing right about it all if you ask me.  But…I’m from LA so big platties like this don’t bother us so much.  It’s one of the reasons why Posh fits right in…LOL!

Hey man, don’t knock pole-dancing….it’s how I got through school without ever having to borrow money from anyone.

  7. uneditedmara says:

Damnit. Why can’t she just go away. And the effin’ heels .. she does not need the extra height. Bitch big.

  8. robin says:

She has even made it to the Olympus of American mockery.

  9. brandy says:

Don’t only street walkers and prostitutes wear shoes like that?! They would have been sooooo cute without the extra height added.
And, I think that might be some silicone over hanging her arm… not necessarily HER boob…

  10. carly says:

LOL Robin! That can’t be her boob. At least, I hope it’s not.

  11. robin says:

Fredericks of Hollywood used to send around a catalog full of cheap-ass skanky sex outfits (maid outfits with bustiers and crotchless panties kind of thing), they also had a double page spread dedicated to shoes that look like the ones she’s wearing.

I’m reading this on my blackberry so the pic isn’t great but is that her boob over hanging her arm in the first photo? My god that thing looks HUGE.

  12. courtney says:

looks like her dress has shoulder pads in it, gross.  at least her hair looks better than at the liverpool launch…i honestly don’t think the shoes are that bad, patent leather platforms are in for whatever reason.

  13. tammyv says:

lolol Sandra, I was just about to post – 1986 called and they would like their barbie ballgown back!

    Yikes, on it all

  14. Sandra says:

OMG, It’s Crystal Carrington from Dynasty!  With that dress on, she looks like she stuck in the 80’s.

  15. carly says:

Don’t show me those shoes again. I can’t stand them!

    ooh poor her! :( boo-hoo.

  16. LISA says:

    Bored of her now

  17. Johnna says:

    Wow, the dress. o.O

At least she has nice legs.

  18. Patty says:

Confess it, kickette, the reason you love the box is that it looks like your logo!

  19. filthygorgeous says:

Ahh well whatever floats her boat, something’s gotta keep her occupied other than her kids :o )
I can’t help but laugh when I notice that her perfume has been placed next to perfumes by legendary fashion designers such as Jean-Paul Gaultier, Donna Karan & Issey Miyake.  Designers renowned in the fashion/perfume industry with a long list of A-List clients…and then there’s the fragance by a scouse whose claim to fame is shagging a footballer! lol

  20. paris says:

OMG she looks stunning if I would have known she was doing a perfume launch in London I would have went………love the shoes and dress I think she looks great and I love the perfume xxxx

  21. Allana says:

Is it just me, or does she always look so, well, blank?  There just doesn’t seem to be anything behind the makeup and designer duds.  Oh, and don’t even get me started on the shoes.  Somewhere there’s a lonely pole waiting for its dancer.

  22. Elise says:

lol I love those shoes.  Of course I couldn’t actually walk in them, but I’m pretty sure I could sit on a counter in them…because you know I have so many reason to do that on a daily basis! lol

  23. kristin says:

    she looks like a barbie.
how many people actually did show up to the launch? do we have a number for that?

  24. Gina says:

Forget the dress – does anybody understand those shoes?! WTF is it with these porn star shoes lately?

Obviously no chance of me ever being a WAG, cause I am mystified by the fashion requirements <img src="; width="19" height="19" alt="confused" style="border:0;" />
