Andre Villas-Boas: Welcome To White Hart Lane

Praise Iker! AVB is back in football management, having been confirmed as the new manager of Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon.

In football terms, this news is being greeted with varying degrees of¬†scepticism, but the thought of his seeing AVB’s expressive¬†arms and ginger beard flailing about on EPL touchlines next season fills us with unbridled joy.

A bit like this, really.

Im glad to see AVB back, he's landed himself a job with a club that's really going somewhere, hopefully he can do good things for them.

It's a pity it didn't work out with Chelsea but Im looking forward to seeing this handsome man do his thing on the touchline again!

Yeah Tottenham has potential so now I'm rooting for them to do well. André is a nice and smart guy, he'll make it work. I didn't get all the mess with Chelsea, was it the board, the coach or the players fault? Maybe a bit of all three :)

Love that we will get to see more of AVB. More photos please Kickette. Sad news that he is on the team that as an Arsenal fan I can never like.

Chelsea shouldn’t have treaten him in such a bad way. And some players were quite unprofessional. Whatever. Glad that he’s back. I think he just needs a little bit more experience but hopefully he’ll do great.

hopefully he will be treated with more respect at spurs.. when I was reading the gossip and hearing the news about his management time at chelsea i was appalled at the thought of some of chelsea's professionals acting like children around him and being horrible about him behind his back.. best of luck at white hart lane avb…z

I remember watching an interview with Frank Lampard, and the guy doing the interview asked him what he thinks of Di Matteo. Lampard said something along the lines of "At least he plays me…not like the other guy" and then started laughing. I thought that was a bit unprofessional. Not even mentioning AVB by name.

I am sad he's our rival now, but happy to see him back and hope he performs well (only not vs. Chelsea). I think he could do pretty well with Spurs.

I think he could do a great job with all the youngsters we have, i can’t wait for the season to start so i can verify what he’s all about. Plus he’s not the general type of manager we are used to hire. And he’s stunning. I can’t wait to see him and Baley teaming up. Welcome to WHL.

  11. Holly says:

Wishing AVB a warm welcome at WHL!! Glad to see him back in the Prem as well.

I agree. The way Chelsea treated him was appalling; I hope he can show what he's capable of at Spurs. I always liked him.

So happy for Andre, i hope this goes well for him. It should as there are no egotistic babies like Lampard + co. In the locker room. Great appointment by Spurs, good luck AVB :) (best looking manager in PL??? :D )
