Baby Mama Drama: Christoph Metzelder

It’s not going to be an easy day for Christoph Metzelder’s girlfriend, Marie Wellman. News has broken that Christoph is going to become a father. For the first time. With a woman that isn’t Marie.

There’s nothing like being in the early, loved-up, I am happy to breathe your second-hand air stages of a relationship and getting news like this. It’s almost as bad as discovering the man you’re in love with has never heard of Prada.

Almost.

Here’s the story as we’re hearing it:

Model (and “most beautiful girl in Germany”), Julia Gödecke, is pregnant. She used to date the Hamburger SV player Marcell Jansen. After they broke up, her pregnancy was made public, but she kept the name of the father a secret.

Was Christoph Julia’s “rebound” guy?

It’s not like Christoph and Marie have a lot of time to deal with this news, either. Julia is due to pop by October.

Interestingly, Christoph appears to be acknowledging the baby, but not his relationship with Marie, whom he insists is just a friend.

   I hope Marie will still stay with him. Maybe she knew about it.. I am sure he would not let her (of all people) learn this from the yellow press first! She has class, the other one (clearly) does not.. hopefully this will not ruin his image forever…

   I was shocked too when I saw this on Bild. How and when did the two hook up? She’s in Berlin and he was in Madrid so might it have been a one-night stand? This Julia sounds like a groupie, moving from one footballer to another. Metzelder seems to be intelligent and low key with his private life and now this! Clearly Julia does not believe in low key, flaunting as she has her belly on the tabloid Bild. Did you not just show pics of Metz with his new girlfriend? Wonder how that will play out now?

   Oh well, I like Metzelder as he exudes intelligence and elegance. He is the last footballer one would think to fall into a situation like this.

   This is a matter what interesting only Metze, Julia and Marie (if she is still with him).

    It’s from Bild, so you have to take it with a grain of salt, but they do actually claim that he’s confirmed it to them.
    This is what he told them (translation mine): “Yes, it’s true, I’m going to be a father. I’m really looking forward to this child (what he says is actually a little stronger, but I couldn’t come up with a better translation)”.
    It’s a girl, btw.
