Beck Talk: Look out LA

image

The Beckhams arrived in Los Angeles for their American takeover bid last night.  The scenes at LAX were crazier than a sale at Cricket, and one dumb-ass airport spokesperson (who surely has been fired by this point), said: “This is the biggest media operation since 9/11.“

See the well-honed media pandemonium of the Beckham’s arriving here.  That said, a whole heap of people in America have absolutely no clue who either of them are, so we’ll watch with champagne-baited breath to see how this all goes.  Looking for their bubbas? The kids left LAX separately in a car with their grandparents.

The Beckhams’ cars were also delivered to LA – David’s got a custom Escalade and Victoria’s is the black Bentley GT with “VB” embossed on the seat backs and alloy wheels.  North American viewers, don’t forget to check out Victoria on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno tonight at 11.30 EST.

In other news, David Beckham is on the cover of this week’s Cuore magazine sporting a rather large bulge of manliness in his briefs.

Not that we’re experts on bulges or anything, but…oucha magoucha.

  2. This should change everything for soccer in america. Face it, U.S. does not care about soccer. It was going to be popular when I was a kid in the 70’s. Soccer is for are kids to play and then they get over it. Soccer is about as popular as NFL Europe is over there.

  3. Everyone knows that New York is far more superior and our football team isn't stupid. i’m on an exciting wait for the next game.

Landon Donovan is a dick. Last paragraph of the article.

Boy. Remove foot from mouth. You just pissed you aren’t the darling of American Soccer any more.

Becks went to L.A. because his youth camp is there. so most likely when his contract is up with mls he’ll work there.
i’m pretty excited too and i live in Minnesota, but i’m going to Denver to see him =]

I WELCOME the Becks with open, loving arms to the States!  I think many more people know who they are here than you think.  Just one question, WHY L.A.?  I mean seriously everyone knows that New York is far more superior and our football team isn’t shit (or at least not as much shit as the galaxy).  I’m buying tix already for the galaxy v red bulls game and you have no idea how long i have waited to see Becks live on the pitch- I’m expecting sparks!
