Becks Back in UK – Father Suffers Heart Attack

David Beckham has rushed back to the UK after the news that his father, Ted Beckham, had suffered from a serious heart attack. 

Ted ‘flatlined’ and doctors worked for three hours to save him.  He since been stablized and is at a central London hospital.

David, obviously upset and emotional, refused to answer any questions at LAX when he was approached by the paparazzi, and one of his security team told them to “show some respect.“ 

David and his father were extremely close throughout most of his career, but their relationship became strained after Ted wrote a tell-all book about David in 2005.  The two have made an effort at reconciling, though.  Earlier this year David showed up at his father’s house to talk things out and repair the situ.

Get well soon, Mr. Beckham – our thoughts are with you.  There’s nothing worse than living far away from family members in an emergency.
