Best in Stripes: Elen Rives v Louise Redknapp
It’s turning out to be a bit of a Friday fashion day here at Kickette, we realise. Don’t worry, the (late) TTO will be up soon for those of you that require some man candy to get the weekend rolling.
Now onto the little striped dress competition. Who do you think looked best on the night:
Elen Rives (who is battling it out with Alex Gerrard for Most Improved Wardrobe of 2009) at the Comfort Prima High Street Fashion Awards; or
Louise Redknapp at the GQ Men of the Year Awards earlier this week?

And it kills me to say it, but elen has improved, but shes got some catching up to do and no doubt she'll be back to her old ways in no time.
she needs to sort out her roots and get a new hair style i think, its too plain and boring.
Elen’s shoes and hair are a horror show all on its own…the dress is rather nice, but my vote still goes to Louise…

Elen looks like she's borrowed Luna's dress and Disney princess wig and the shoes are awful. Louise is too orange,the dress too fussy but she's still looks the more elegant of the two.
I think Louise Redknapp looks much better.
Why do you insist on keeping Elen relevant? She isn’t. She isn’t a wag anymore. She’s a leech.
Although Elen's look has improved a lot in the past months, I think that dress looks a little like a high school prom dress and I don't like the shoes. Louise gets best dressed vote from me this time!

Elen's dress on Louise's body, amazing!
Gotta give it to Elen. I love Louise, but… Elen looks pretty amazing.
Elen gets an A for her dress, Louise a C for that truly terrible dress. Elen's shoes look like a cartoon character's – Minnie Mouse maybe. Louise's shoes are class and her handbag works better than Elen's. But Louise has used too much fake tan. Can't stand Elen and like Louise, but Elen wins due to the better dress. Personally think she has really ugly legs. No calf definition.
Why is Elen even still relevant? Louise wins hands down for no other reason than the fact that she is an actual WAG. And also because she’s not Elen.
Louise looks orange and I don't like her dress..but on the other side there is Elen..with those horrible shoes,and with that horrible face that says:I'm still here..yes you are still here but WHY?????
So my vote goes to Louise.
Louise looks real classy, she gets my vote.
I actually think Elen looks better here. Besides for her hair which is horrible. Louise is so orange she barely looks human. Also, can I just say that Elen has great legs?

Hm. I think I like Elen’s dress better, but Louise is looking sassier in attitude. I guess Elen gets my vote.
I don't think either of them looks too good. But Ellen has accessorised so terribly that Louise just inches forward, plus she's dressed to suit her age unlike Ellen who looks like she's headed to prom. Her earrings are horrifying with that dress, the pin at her waist is bad, her shoes are criminal and i don't like the hair either. And I think it's mostly Louise's posture that's off… she's looking ok otherwise.
Judging just on the dress I’d have to give this one to Elen. I can’t stand her, but I also can’t help but want to rip that fabulous striped garment right off her and run away with it. However, Louise easily wins the style award. Her shoes, clutch, and hairstyle were chosen perfectly, and Elen’s whole ensemble frankly just looks weird.

I’ve gotta go with Louise. Elen’s dress and hair look too young, like she’s off to her school dance. Louise’s outfit looks like something a grown woman would wear. And Elen’s shoes are heinous with that dress.

Elen wins for me. I agree about the thinking Louise was Alex C too. Louise looks too orange and her dress is not so great with that think up top.
I was not a fan of Elen's shoes until blowing them up and now think they are adorable
At first i thought it was Ellen and AlexC…..anyway my vote's on Ellen.
I don't like Elen's shoes at all and she needs to work on her pose, but overall my vote is with her. So, yeah that must mean the world is ending.
Louise looks better in my opinion, and I love those Bottega Veneta clutches.

Louise gets the title. Though I really like Elen's dress and all, it's very cute but the shoes and hair let the dress down. It oculd be a great look but Louise ticks every box, Elen does not. But it's a cool dress! I like the dress better then Louise but Louise has the better look overall.
I voted for Louse, Elen’s shoes ruined this look for me, they don’t go with this dress, but Elen looks really good here.
I think Ellen missed the mark with accessories. I don’t understand the shoes at all, and the earrings aren’t fitting really.
That dress is a give-me for accessories, hair, and makeup: 1950s inspired. Why complicate things? More volume in the hair; maybe a headband. Big pearl earrings, strapless pumps.
I don’t know what’s on Louise’s shoulder but it looks off. I thought she was Elizabeth Hasselback for a minute.
Oh wow! I really actually like them both. I like Louise’s styling better, so she gets my vote. I *think* her dress is by Christopher Kane.

simply cuz she looks prettier and more natural. Louise is very shiny and a bit overtanned imo…
Elen gets my vote this time, although her shoes don't work with that dress at all. Louise normally looks stunning, but her dress is simply awful.
On this occasion I must vote for Elen (really?), although I would not wear those shoes with that outfit. Louise's dress is too busy.
