Bubbas, Ballers & Bumping Uglies: A Germany Special
Yes, for those of you still suffering agony spasms caused by the dearth of Leo Torres photos (why, Fernando, why?!) to follow is a quickie round up of the happy events befalling some of the finest footie players from or playing on German soil, whether they’re bringing up baby, awaiting the arrival of the stork or simply getting in some practice.
Ovaries at the ready, ladies.

Pictured above while nestling comfortably into the bosom of German national handball player and Per Mertesacker’s missus Ulrike Stange, is a baby that may or may not be the couple’s brand new son. Ulrike gave birth on Easter Sunday to the 4.2 kilo, 22 inch long bubba and although our fact finding might be shaky on this one, surely we all agree that it’s great news for the happy couple. And if it is young Paul, he is obviously revelling in the knowledge that he may well be the most boxfresh bubba we’ve had the pleasure of featuring (or not) on these pages. Sigh.
The next man bracing himself for midnight nappy changes is Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery, whose wife Wahiba is currently preggo with the couple’s third child. Franck has revealed that the bundle is a little boy, a brother for daughters Hiziya (5) and Shahinez (3).
Congrats to the Ribery family! We’ve got the baby shower gift in the bag!
Finally, it has been reported in German newspaper Bild, that Sami Khedira has been ‘seeing’ Germany’s Next Top Model winner Lena Gercke. The two were photographed in a German restaurant playing kissy kissy and drinking Prosecco and while it always breaks our hearts a little to see a ‘baller off the market, we can’t help but congratulate Sami. His new lady love is gorgeous (left) and clearly likes drinking. A girl after our own hearts, sigh.

BTW, does this mean that Mesut Ozil must learn to cook now?
