True, u cant exactly call what Suarez did ‘cheating’…any Ghanaian player would have done the same in that situation…BUT pls understand that Suarez broke all our hearts (yh, I’m Ghanaian) & if anyone did that against ur nation in such a HUGE tournament, u would b as upset as we are…still Gyan shouldnt have missed that penalty so i guess we can blame ourselves too

oh most certainly not!! im from south africa, and ghana was my team after south africa and italy went out and before i discovered spain, and i was ready to book front-row seats to his assasination after that handball… (not to mention he was part of the team that routed SA 3-0, which didnt exactly make me favourably inclined to him in the first place!).But the kid kind of redeems him. a little. a very little.

I was at the world cup final and at the end Ramos blew a kiss in the direction of where I was sitting so natch I am claiming it as directed solely to me. how can you get over it??like i’ve said before,cheating is unacceptable in any circumstance..he’s so lucky with the punishment considering what he done to the game..he turned an absolute goal to a probability..so more or less,his decision favoured his side and he took that risk..yeah,maybe if the ghanaian scored that penalty nobody would got mad coz it still would be a goal if he didnt hand the ball anyway..but did you see that he already turned the purity of football into “fuck a clean game,whats prior is winning and advancing”??i’m pretty sure many football lovers out there dont wanna see the art of football being vanished by a full-into-result game..i guess you know what i mean..
Football isn't an art, sweetie, its a sport. The point is to win. The beauty of the game is in the strategies and skills that are used in order to reach the back of the net. And, for that matter, to keep the ball from reaching the back of your own net. Any player at any level would have done what Suarez did. I certainly would have. Football isn't about purity, its about the competition. Its about sliding in the grass, cleat marks on your thighs, sacrificing your body to get that ball where you want it to go. Its about perfect passes and fast, hard runs with the other team's defenders breathing down the back of your neck. Its about having a cool head in a sweating body. Breaking the rules is part of the game, its part of the unpredictability of it. And the beauty of the game lies in that unpredictability. Sorry to get wordy, but its hard to describe in any other way.

You're a misplaced, you know? You can not say that about someone like Luis Suarez. I'm Uruguayan, and I really disappointed to see that people from another country think like a person of my own blood Charrúa. That horror. Luis's hand inside the area (2010 World Cup: Uruguay Party-Ghana) was justly punished, that Asamoah Gyan has not taken advantage of, that's another subject! Top Uruguay or no no!
