I may just be being a bitter betty, but seriously!! WHERE ARE THE CHELSEA PLAYERS!? Not a single one was named to the PFA Team of the Year. That’s just unnacceptable. This is why they shouldn’t vote till the end of the season rather then in January. It’s ridiculous and not a good measurement of the actual talent. I’m utterly disappointed.
Considering that he apparently sleeps 14 hours a day, trains and plays for Chelsea, I’m rather amazed that Essien get any kind of action.
Maybe he has sex while he is asleep? Freud would have a field day with that, I’m sure.

I too think Torres deserved young player over Cesc. The thing is, I believe these were all voted on in December, if I’m correct? Back then Cesc was playing much better and Torres hadn’t reached his phenomenal scoring heights. Cesc’s season has gone dramatically downhill since then, and Nando’s the opposite. I think if the vote was now, Torres would have taken it.

Signora Maldini – In reference to your question earlier, I would have a couple of players to nominate. Michael Ballack being one of them. After coming back from ankle surgery earlier in the season, he’s played phenomenally. While Lampsy and JT were injured he was a superb backup captain and his performance on Saturday is an obvious statement for his talents.
Although hated by practically EVERYONE, Ashley Cole has had many good performances for the club and I think he’s one of the most underrated players in the Premier League because of his reputation away from the game.
There’s my two cents.
