Dimitar Berbatov is a daddy again! The Fulham striker’s wife, Elena, gave a birth to baby girl yesterday in Bulgaria in the wee morning hours, the hospital where the WAG and baby were resting comfortably confirmed on bTV television. Name may or may not be Margarita, in honour of Dimi’s mother, whom Elena may or may not still have beef with.
It’s a footballer baby boom, Kickettes. They’re everywhere. Luckily, they’re genetically superior and smell like high interest savings accounts and strawberry yoghurt. Thus, we’re all happy.
Cheers to Lionel for having a helluva stretch of good fortune – first he was named the 2012 Golden Boot Winner, and now he’s a first time father following the birth of his son, Thiago!

The Barcelona ‘baller wrote on his Facebook page yesterday that his entire family was flying into Barcelona fron Argentina and he was excited. Sport.es subsequently reported that Anto is going to have a C-section on Saturday the 20th.
However, this tuned in columnist says that Messi will play the match against Deportivo on Saturday and then Sunday he’ll be a dad. Obvi his Facebook post sparked the rumour, so we can only wait and see what happens on Saturday or Sunday.
What we do know for certain is the couple is having a boy, and they’ve picked out the name Thiago. Of course, these dramas only occur when everyone at Kickette HQ is either on holiday, enroute to a holiday or thinking about a holiday. Such is life.
