With a little help from the bench, the Blues overturned the 3-1 aggregate lead Napoli built in the first leg and won the game 4-1 after an extra time goal from Branislav Ivanovic. We missed the thrilling end because we were too busy stumbling up the pub stairs.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid cemented their place in the last eight after beating CSKA Moscow 4-1 (5-2 agg). We can’t help but feel that Alan Dzagoev’s uncanny resemblance to Leo Messi in this photo (left) did not help his team’s cause any.

Anyone else praying for this week to come to a quick end?
