Sometimes we think the MLS has pulled a NOTW and wire tapped our HQ’s phones because their events align themselves perfectly with our foul-minded office convos. This is one of those times.
Chivas USA, together with the Fundacion Chivas de Corazon, have decided to give Kickettes plenty of daydream material by auctioning off a date with some of their club’s ‘ballers for charity.
It’s almost like our own personal mini-transfer market!

Joe Le Taxi: Joey Cole has eschewed the opportunity to take advantage of his new colleagues’ language skillz… in favour of learning French himself. The Cockney boy, who has just begun a season long loan to Ligue 1 side Lille, told how his new team-mates speak great English, but he ‘doesn’t want to rely on them’. So far, his knowledge extends to ‘Bonjour’ and ‘Au revoir’. Good luck, mate!

The captain of MLS side Real Salt Lake is a wild n’ woolly type with what appears to be an aversion to bathing and hair products. He also seems to scare the crap out of small children and it looks unlikely that he spends all his money on shiny, expensive things.

- Speaking from experience, there’s nothing special about Modelo Especial. Except for Clint Dempsey’s cut-short cameo in the above advert. You can try your virtual luck against the Fulham/USMNT player too.
- Swansea’s Alan Tate broke his leg in a freak golf buggy accident. He’ll be out for 6 months, but the jokes at his expense will probably linger for longer.
- Pato and Barbara B (time for us to start calling her Babs for short for lazy reasons) were barely recognised on holiday in Bali recently. It wasn’t until a young fan asked for the AC Milan ‘baller autograph that folks took notice. The couple was described as ‘in love’ and ‘very humble’ people, per the hotel staffers that spoke to Novalla 2000.
