Alex Gerrard: That Was Fast

Nine days. That’s the time it took Alex Gerrard to recoup from the birth of her third child before hitting up Cricket in Liverpool.

New world record?

Engagement Ring Riddle: Irina Shayk’s Mystery Sparkler

Irina Shayk, Dolores Aveiro and Katia Dos Santos (not pictured) at the Intercontinental hotel in Madrid, Spain.

Irina Shayk’s made-for-our-left-hands golf ball-sized ring is playing tricks on us. We first laid eyes on it last week during Cristiano’s Golden Boot presentation, but by Sunday evening, it was noticeably absent during Irina’s walk down the European Music Awards red carpet.

The wooly mammoth of bling deserves a name. We think.

Harry Kewell & Sheree Murphy: Beaming On The Black Carpet

Harry Kewell and Sheree (not Sharee as The Daily Mail likes to call her) Murphy walked the black carpet outside the opening of Shane Warne’s new club, Club 23, at Crown Casino in Melbourne. Image taken 7.11.2011.

Good Week/Bad Week: Warnings & Wine Worries

What did we learn this week, Kickettes?

After careful consideration of all the available information, we all decided that Team GB was in fact a brilliant idea, although not necessarily for footballing reasons. That our tolerance to drink driving offences is inversely proportional to our tolerance of alcohol abuse.

Oh, and we really like pictures of bottoms. Regardless of who they belong to.

Breaking Pitter Patter News: The Gerrards Welcome Their Third Daughter

Steven Gerrard’s wife, Alex, has popped, Kickettes, giving the LFC captain a hat-trick of daughters. Around 4pm GMT today, Lourdes Gerrard arrived into this world at a hospital in Liverpool, presumably with her mini-me Alexander Wang bag in tow. This pretty-in-pink bundle of baby weighed in at  7lb 15oz, the midfielder’s spokesman said.

Stevie was there to help Alex through her delivery (we have no clue if it was au natural or via C) and both Mum and baby were said to be “doing well.” Three-a-day baths will do that to a woman post-labour, though.

Echoing the views expressed by their lawyers at Shillings via the e-blast we received last month, the couple has reiterated their desire for the media to respect “the privacy of their family at this time.” Mark our words: when the inevitable OK! family photo shoot at home is all said and done, their legal doc’s thinly-veiled posturing (complete with typos) will seem a bit rich to say the least.

Nonetheless, congrats to the Gerrards!
