I just love Zanetti, that man has the most awesome thighs ever and he so deserved to finally win the Champions League.
    As for the games:
    1. Mkay sort of interesting, would be nice to see two more clasicos this year, hala Real
    2. Hot damn!
    3. With Inter playing anything can happen, we are guaranteed to see a lot of goals. And thighs…
    4. Meh

  2. Madridgirl07 says:

    1. Even as a loyal Madrid fan, you can't say it will be an easy match. You just can't go into a game with that sort of mentality because its recipe for disappointment. We have to respect them, and I do. So best of luck to Mou and my boys!

    2. WHY God, WHY?! I hope United wins. I know we haven't been so strong against Chelsea, but still. This is Champions League, where we have beaten them for the title before!

    3. Like I said, big Madrid fan, so naturally I want Raul to succeed.

    4. Oh Barca, you and your cake walks. You and all the fuc**ng luck on your side always. I do hope Shaktar can cause an upset. Best of luck to Shaktar!

  3. diana says:

    1. I don't care
    2. I don't care
    3. Schalke 04
    4. BARCELONA

    Visca el Barca!

    4) Meh.

  5. lulu says:

Gotta be Chelsea v Real in the final. The Special One v The Slobby One, a match with something for everyone. Ashley always shuts down Christiano, Jose always shuts down Carlo. A dream match.

  6. FloraJane says:

    1. Real Madrid/Tottenham- this is the one I'm most undecided about. I think it depends on the teams that show up on the night. I really believe Spurs have enough to beat RM, but they are really going to have to be solid both in their game and in their belief to do it.
    2. Chelsea/Man United- This was okay with me. In fact, I wish we could go ahead and play it NOW! lol Chelsea can go ahead and beat United early and then we won't have to listen to all that stupid revenge talk lingering on for the whole competition. Chelsea are definitely a better team than United right now so I'm confident of this one.
    3. Inter Milan/Schalke- This one may be tight, but I think Inter will take it.
    4. Barcelona/Shakhtar Donetsk- While I'd like for Barcelona to be sent out early (so Chelsea wouldn't have to face them! lol), I just don't see it happening. Shaktar are good, but they aren't good enough for Barca.

So…Chelsea will make it to Wembley- we love that stadium- where, after a tough fight, they'll finally win the CL. Whether they'll have to beat Barca or RM to do it, I'm still undecided.

  7. Marie says:

Initial thoughts? I d like to add Moc Moc!!! And i hate this draw, dont know why but i do.

(Also there is such a thing as too many El Clásicos!!!!!! The stress is getting to me :-( )

  8. IrishBlue says:

    1. Spurs! I love an underdog but can they handle the pressure? Hoping Gareth will turn on the style for this one.
    2. Yea we got this. (or else I will turn into a very angry demon of some sort)
    3. Schalke.
    4. I would say Barca have this one in the bag. They are AMAZING.

I've just remembered that David Luiz is ineligible to play in the Champions League for Chelsea…..NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  9. Ariel says:

    Ohhhh I', so excited!!!!
    1) I'm not a fan of either of these teams but I find myself being drawn towards The Special One. He is called that for a reason.
    2) I'm a Red Devil for life. I love Man Utd!!!!! I will stand by them whether we win or lose( but I'll be more excited if we win, lol)
    3)Don't really care.
    4) I'm just glad that Man Utd didn't get Barca. If Barca and Man Utd make it 2 the finals Man Utd will be seeking revenge!!!!!. But idk this could be an interesting game. It would realllly be great 2 see Barca leave, then the competition will definitely change( oh here's for wishful thinking)

  10. Winnie Mata says:

    no.

  11. Winnie Mata says:

    1. we got dis. (though i am slightly scared of Tottenham these days)
    2. WHY?!?!
    3. don't care.
    4. GOOO SHAKHTAR! ;)

  12. JulieFromParis says:

    1) easy one: Madrid
    2) tough future opponents for Madrid either way
    3) Raul and Schalke all the way.
    4) well.. do i really need to say it?

  13. ThatWelshOne says:

I would love to see Spurs win this cup however I do worry that the likes of Aaron Lennon would struggle to lift it….have you seen the size of it?! I think Spurs have a good chance against Madrid though….I hope so anyway! Elsewhere, Barca, Schalke and Man U

  14. Alexandria Samuel says:

Haha I asked my teacher to look them up for me in history, she is a big Barca fan! Loves my Xavi pen :P
Real Madrid vs Tottenham should be very interesting!
I can't wait to watch Schalke 04 either, Neuer is just amazing as a goalie and as a captain.
Chelsea vs Man U…I predict a lot of facebook bitching whoever wins…
And Barcelona are just fun to watch, aren't they?

  15. Madrista says:

Go Madrid!!!!!!! Hala Madrid we will do it this year I can feel it!!!!!

And to Shakhtar school Barca like you schooled Roma!!!!!!!!! All the best to you guys!!!!!

  16. TheAmethyst007 says:

    1. Real Madrid will win that and then the whole thing!!
    2. I strongly dislike both, so I go with whomever Real is most likely to beat if they should eventually meet
    3. Schalke
    4. I want to say Shakhtar, but I doubt they'll beat Barca

I just really want Real Madrid to win this one, or atleast Man U, Chelsea and Barca to NOT.

  17. Sergz says:

Chelsea is a stronger team than Man Utd at the moment. Especially since they don't have nearly as many injuries (I think Man Utd has about 10 injured players) and they're out of the cup and the title race, so they can be more focused.
BUT, the mentality of Man Utd is admirable. They can play against big teams with their B-squad and still play a good game. They haven't really played that well this season, but look where they are! Impressive as hell.

  18. blake2108 says:

    1. I hope Gareth doesn't find Spain too nice….
    2. Bugger. I'd rather have had Barca
    3. I don't care
    4. Should be good.

  19. B&W@kickette.com says:

    1. The special one returns to England, The underdog progress
    2. not these 2 again, red devils
    3. good for Inter, Inter
4 They r really lucky, Barca

    • Lotte says:

Lucky?! Lucky?! Shakhtar is a nightmare for Barca! The lucky ones are Inter.

      • B&W@kickette.com says:

Eh? every team in the draw am sure wanted to play Shakhtar, I am sure Inter would gladly swap Schalka 04 for Shakhtar!

  20. Summer says:

    1) A single part of me is with Spurs (it's nice and wonderful to follow a dream, but I know that this dream unfortunately could be an illusion, because I know very well that RM is a very strong- technical team and I know very well their manager as a very ambitious and determined man, and also I know very well what he's able to do)
3)Obviously Inter will pass (for the happiness of one of my friend and above all for the happiness of my chemistry's professor [this morning when he interrogated me and saw a photo of John Terry that was on my book he had the courage to ask me if I knew who was the player. I just laughed at him, I answered and I said that unfortunately for him I was a fanatical fan of Chelsea)
    4) I think that Barça, even thought Pep didn't want Shakhtar in the round of eight is already at Wembley on 28th May.
    2) Oh yes I'm surprised but not scared of the Big Match (that will be again at my home between me and my brother, and also I think that will be a match between Irish Blue and her boyfriend). Chelsea beat Man Utd 3 times in the last 4 times. I know very well the power of Chelsea and even thought we have still problems we could win. I have a desire but I'm also certain because I saw it in a dream that Chelsea will be at Wembley this May. (I've dreamt about the victory of Spain at Euro 2008 and also at WC..) But maybe I'm wrong because the desire to dream and to fly is stronger than the fear to remain prisoner on the earth. GO CHELSEA!!!!!

    • IheartSpain says:

Love your dream about Chelsea at Wembley. Go Chelsea!!!

    • IrishBlue says:

Yeaaaa!!!! Come on the Blues!! I've just realised I'm gonna be on holidays in Rome for the second leg, I hope I can find somewhere to watch it in English :O

      • Summer says:

I don't know if here in Italy our National Television will show the game on 6th April, because they are allowed to show one game of Champions League on Wednesday, but they may show it because this is a very interesting game and because of our italian manager Carlo Ancelotti. But of course you could watch the match with Sky. Enjoy yourself in Rome!

  21. Karla says:

    1. I'll go for Spurs in this one :D it's a big chance for them to do something big
    2. Chelsea definitely!
    3. Maybe Schalke
    4. Shakhtar

I'm for the big and unexpected final: Chelsea vs Tottenham

  22. black widow says:

    come on, madrid!

  23. EspePique says:

    1) Gooo Barca & Spurs !!!
    2) In the Chelsea vs ManU match , someone will get at red card , Nani will dive, someone is going to blame the referee.
    3) Who ever that will play against the winner of the Chelsea – United match , will beat them.
    4) And finally .. In my head , Barcelona will win La liga , CL and Copa del Rey. And if they win La Liga and Copa , they have also won the Supercopa , since they cant play against them selves :)
But anyway , good Luck to all the teams !!!!

  24. Linda says:

And what about the UEFA cup draw, ladies? As a portuguese I am extremely happy that we have 3 teams in the Quarter Finals and they have managed to avoid each other meaning we can have a all Portuguese final or at least 1 finalist!!!
    Forcaaaaa Portugalll!! :)

  25. Linda says:

I am just happy that United avoided Real! My heart would literally break at the sight of Ronaldo playing and scoring against us.
    Anyways,I love an underdog so,COYS!!! :)
Good luck to all but United will win this (or so I hope).
United vs Spurs in the final at Wembley. You heard it here first lololol

  26. Soon2beWifeOfNAsri says:

As a neutral may the best team win, i do know Real Madrid vs Spurs will be a cracking game. Imagine a Real Madrid vs Man utd final; CR7 against the team that made him the player he is now, would be FANTASTIC. This could very well be Madrid's year under The Leadership Of Jose & Ozil :P .

    May the best team win!!

  27. Ellie says:

    1. I love to hate The Special One and I like Harry. I may be rooting for the underdog.
    2. No favourite here. May the best team win!
    3. Leonardo = the hottest coach ever.
    4. Barca will win, but I hope Chygrynskiy scores… I was so sorry for him when he had to leave Barca.

    • Summer says:

My mum think the same thing about Leonardo…and I sometimes mocks her for this..But I justify her because he's such a really nice guy and also because they have the same age!

  28. Lotte says:

    1) No, there is enough Clasicos as it is, so: Go Spurs!
    2) Chicha! Chicha!
    3) Please Schalke, continue to surprise everone!
    4) This one makes me soo worried. Shakhtar, huuu!! Barca must be on their toes. And I know that they will be.

  29. lorena_yGp says:

    1) Hmmm could be very interesting….can't wait for CR vs Bale!!!
    2)WHOOOOAAAAHHHH!!! GO RED DEVILS!!!
    3)whatever….
    4) very tricky but ….olele olala ser del barça es el millor que hi ha!!! :-) ))

  30. dontaskmetosmile says:

That caption is a winner, as per usual, Kickettes.

And thank St. Iker Madrid didn't draw Barca in the quarters. I don't think my nerves would've been able to take FOUR Classicos in a month. I would've stress eaten my way through those weeks. And it's bikini season where I live. Whew!
    http://dontaskmetosmile.wordpress.com

    • Crackers says:

At least you would have had the restraint to only eat and not stress-drink! (which is what I would have done at such a time). Barca has been in incredible form, and even as a fan of a rival team I enjoy watching them but I don't want a repeat of last November, my liver would not take it.

Our clubs, they put us through so much but it's part of loving them, and that's life.

      • dontaskmetosmile says:

I'm still not over that November loss, and I'm scared sh*tless of meeting Barcelona. That might be the wrong thing to say for a die-hard Madrid fan like me, but FCB have been in devastating form. And while Madrid are at times very good, they haven't been very good often enough for my taste.

        • Crackers says:

I don't blame you- the entire thing is still burned into my brain, too. I mean, FIVE-ZERO isn't even a defeat anymore, it was practically a spanking.

I'm trying to have faith in our boys, even though Barcelona have stampeded over nearly everyone they've met this season. But you're right, it's hard not to be afraid *sigh*

    • Amy says:

I was REALLY hoping for Chelsea. Sad about Tottenham, since now that Arsenal is gone, I was rooting for them besides Madrid. Now it can only be one or the other – a bit of a bummer, but oh well! I think it will be a fantastic game and I'm excited to see Rafa back in the Bernabeu!
