CL Finals: 24ish Hours to Go
The countdown is on for the Champions League final tomorrow.
Red and blue Kickettes, we’re thinking of you. May the better looking team win. No, wait – sorry, that was insensitive. May the richer team win. Hmmm, forget we said anything.
Seriously though, we’re really looking forward to watching the game – if you’re looking for more hype, this CL trailer is like Rocky meets Chariots of Fire and will keep you in the zone until tomorrow.
For those dear readers out there who are either neutrals, or can’t bear to think of Chelsea or Manchester United winning anything, ever, feel free to move along. I was awake all night. I got up around 3 and listened to SSN on the computer, because I have a bad feeling about Vida. I’m getting through the morning on coffee, and now I’m so jittery, I think I might throw up. Or strangle someone. I’m heading home at lunch to watch the game, and I should go for a long walk beforehand just to get away from the computer and all the rumours, but I can’t stand not knowing what’s going on. Yes Pavi, it did take me a few seconds to realise Rooney was even in the picture. Frank really does have very nice thighs.
I hate myself (and a lot of other Liverpool fans hate me for it too) but I want United to win. They deserve it. And I’d rather Chelski joined Liverpool and Arsenal in the trophyless season, so we didn’t look so bad. But I know I wont really know who I want to win until both sides have had a shot on goal and my reaction will be how I know (does that make sense??). I just hope it’s a good game and the result is fair, there’s nothing worse than a team winning and the losing side having an excuse as to why (like a bad ref decision) they lost.

It’s not been confirmed yet, but no one is denying it either. He’s really talented, I would have loved to see him given some more chances in the first team. c9, I think it was released 4 or 5 days ago in the press that Pique was off to Spain in the summer. The club hasn’t officially announced it. But it sounds like a done deal. Which is a bitch for Roy at Sunderland (I always have Roy’s back, you know), because now SAF will want Jonny Evans back. Crap.
But I’m disappointed that Pique is leaving – he’s a good player.
And Frank Lampard is or is not leaving Chelsea depending on what newspaper you read and who you want to believe. I think he’s gone.

Oh, having said I’m neutral I do lean slightly toward Man Utd partly due to the gorgeousness of Mr Hargreaves and partly due to the gross Herr Bollock and Cashley.
But then I do feel sorry for Frank and his mum dying… No, definitely Utd !

OMG, hearing about all of Vida’s injuries makes me even more nervous! But Fergie says that he’s fine and will definitely start tomorrow. Well that’s one name that’s confirmed, at least! Edwin too I suppose. I hope he plays Tevez in a 4-4-2, but something tells me it will be 4-5-1 with Wazza up top alone. Oh well, as long as it works, I’m fine with it!

Deanna, I watched the United training session, and all was well. Scholes did a tackle on Tevez that earned him a dirty look, but nothing else. Vida trained by himself because apparently he’s on a different training regimen since his two concussions, his hurt knee, his broken nose . . . .
I offer to train him privately.
Oh dear, it looks like Cashley might be in quite some trouble.

By the way, let me assure you that I’m not stalking the opposition, all these were taken from a Man Utd forum! But I’m really ashamed of some of the views posted there. I know that he’s played well against Ronnie in the past and so I should be delighted, but I’m not. I feel really sorry for him, nobody should have to miss a CL final like that. I hope he recovers by tomorrow, I want my boys to face a full strength Chelsea team.
