Cheryl Cole: Fighting Her Way to Number One
She’s on course to hit number one with her singleFight For This Love so let’s have a lookie at Cheryl Cole’s live performance on the X-Factor last night.
It’s a whole ‘lotta Rhythm Nation but with more 98% more gold buttons.
Kudos to Cheryl for employing the entire population of professional dancers in London and for possessing some very excellent dimples. Thoughts on her performance?

Two things really:
1) She sang live & she sang well (not great) but performed very well.. like someone else said 'pp' is apackage deal and Cheryl is as good as just about anyone else (with the exception of the obvious powerhouse singers/warblers).
2) Her outfit was great; those saying she should have kept her mouth shut about Kandy Rain should re-listen to what she said… She is an established artist who can wear the provocative clothes as part of a performance, Kandy Rain were strippers trying to sing… who were going for the 'sex' vote… aprt from J&E they were the worst on the show!

She sang the verses solo but sang the chorus over a vocal track…but still sang it. Pop music is studio based and often has multi layered vocals mixed in so its not possible to recreate the exact sound completely live. Madonna and Kylie sing live with prerecorded vocals too…just like Cheryl. Pop has never been all about vocal ability. Its a package deal.
i love cheryl but i have to be honest i didnt like her outfit at all. the singing was ok. it sounded live, was it??
She does not have an especially good voice, but she managed it without any major blips. Honestly, though, some of the candidates on XFactor have much better singing voices. The outfit was overpowering, she is not very big, and it dwarfed her. Also agree that she should have kept her mouth shut about Kandy Rain because her outfit was every bit as provocative as what they wore. Perhaps she was feeling threatened because they were young and their performance wasn't bad at all. Cheryl is a beautiful woman and doesn't need to play the b*tch card.
never thought i would ever see Mr. Cowell arslicking. but he did. I think it was a bad performance as far as the singing is concerned…
But it shows as long as you are pretty you can make it…

she is absolutley amaziing. shes the nicest girls a lad could wish to meet and i think her pergormance was brilliant, the dance routine at the end to finish it off was outstanding and simon cowell does not salut people thaat are not succcessful. you go chezza !!!
She was awesomely awful and I enjoyed the total comic goldness of it all…
From the video, I don't think it was absolutely dreadful. I don't think she mimed it, either – it sounded live. I give kudos to her, mostly because I absolutely adore her.
I thought she was awful. And she's got a cheek turning up dressed like that after the shit she gave Kandy Rain last week.
I’m a huge fan of chezza but I still think alexandra burke has set the bar for x-factor performances. This performance was good but not great. I loved the routine and the outfit is not too bad for a WAG lol

and props for singing live, but as said before, i do not think she has amazing vocal power… she’s good though, better than many others out there!!

She’s gorgeous – shame iTunes in my country won’t have her solo stuff. So behind the times, Canada!

Love love love love loved it. I am addicted to this song, and it has got to be hard to dance and sing like that (I know she prob used a backing tracking but still). I thought it was awesome and having been watching it non-stop!
She is no Mariah Carey, but I was SO PROUD OF HER. I am a huuuge GA fan and Cheryl is my fave.

I actually tuned into this show for the first time in my life, just in time to catch the first minute of Cheryl's performance. I turned it off before the final minute of Cheryl's performance. That's two minutes of my life I'm never getting back.
hhm the dancing was good no doubt, nothing original, very beyonce i thought. but i’ll hand it to her she did way better than i expected even though some of it was mimed. i’m not too sure why people were shocked at her vocals she was never a power house singer to start with. in my opinion 7/10 *claps*
don’t get me started on that cokehead whitney!!! what is up with x factor gettin junkies to perfom ehh?!! sort it out simon bring on shakira or something she’s good live. geez *eye roll*

if only she had changed these strange buffy pants for some short shorts and knee boots!!! she would still look 'military' but a hot one instead!!!
I loved it! She blew the socks off Whitney Houston and sang the majority live after all the stick she was getting. I was dead proud of her and even that loser Ashley was in the audience!
I thought it was great! And props for singing live. I didn't get her song when I first heard it, but after hearing it about 100 more times I love it. Well done, Cheryl!

Not a fan but I wonder why she hasn't hit it off here in the states.
what on earth is she wearing? and is she supposed to be a female Michael Jackson? It seems like she's saying the lyrics instead of singing… I don't like it at all
