Something I absolutely cannot comprehend is how Peter Crouch can be ahead of Michael Owen. Among the strikers, Rooney, I understand is by far, the favorite and rightly so. Defoe is a predator too — I mean that dude takes less than a fraction of a second to pounce on a 1/2 chance. I am not too sure about Heskey. But Crouch? He is a joke to the game of football. I mean people are seriously underestimating Owen — he is probably the most technically correct player among all of the English strikers, takes the best runs and is the most aware of his position, even more so than Rooney. The correct list of strikers for the WC should be Rooney, Defoe, Owen and Heskey. I am sure Owen will prove that point. By the end of the season, he wont surprise me if he is even before Defoe is the list.

He's so HOTT! I've always liked him. To bad he's married. He doesnt even live with his wife but she is currently pregnant with their 4th. Pretty obvious what he does to her when he goes to see the family :s

rio ferdinand used to go out drinking (what normal young person wouldn't do that???) and may i just add that he is one of the most charitable footballers around, because how many footballers would help fund a movie (with a big rapper like 50 cent) just so a bunch of kids can get work experience on a movie set?

ps. thanks to newscastle for letting owen go- his been doing great for us so far… and long may that continue…

I never wished injury on any player, even Owen. I dislike him for the way he treated the club and the fans. As for Rio, I don’t think he is perfect but then again, history backs me up on that. I am ok with saying it

I can't see Owen getting the nod from Capello. I think Rooney, Heskey, Defoe, Crouch, and probably Bent are all ahead of him. I believe Owen will only go if there are injuries to others, or if he gets a lot more playing time in important matches and makes a real case for himself.

i personally don't see what tammyv's problem is, newscastle at the moment are doing great (i'm keeping an eye cause danny simpson and smudge are playing there) and have been proper entertaining as well- well on their way to promotion if you ask me

that was beautifully said and written, and as far as i am concerned i *dislike* certain footballers for the way in which they treat clubs (tevez) but i would never wish injury on someone, esp. if they are doing something they love, and like freckles said- owen has done everything that has been asked of him at united and more, and i wouldn't expect tammyv to say anything nice about united players, given that she bashed rio ferdinand for no proper reason (not an insult… just my reasoning)

As a Liverpool fan, it pains me to see him score for ManU…but one can never forget how amazing a player he really is…i vote for Capello to take him to South Africa!
