Clint Dempsey: Pucker Up, Pretty Boy
Clint Dempsey scored the only goal in Fulham’s 1-0 victory over Liverpool at Craven Cottage last night, breaking Brian McBride’s record to become the top American scorer in EPL history. His former club, New England Revolution, tweeted their congratulations to the USMNT player after the goal, which takes his EPL tally to 37.
For the statisticians among you, Deuce is also the only American player to score against Liverpool. Awestruck by this amazing feat, UN peace envoy-in-waiting Craig Bellamy was on the scene to offer his hearty congratulations and clearly couldn’t wait to do so.
Pucker up, Clinty-boy. We’re on our way to do the same.

As a straight guy who loves Kickette I don't think I could resist a quick pash with Deuce either!!
as the *great very *illustrious paris hilton would say: "that's hot!…"

I heart Deuce, though not as much as I heart this yummy pic.
go clint! he's always been my second favorite player (the first is permanently reserved for carlos bocanegra) and even though he's not playing for a team I generally support, it makes me happy to know that he's the only american to score against liverpool. being an american and a manchester united fan, I am especially proud of that goal.
I know it's a bit cliche but people from Texas have a pride as big as our state. Clint for that matter has my TEXAS LOVE! I'm so super proud of this East Texas boy coming up in soccer in the state where football rules…..EVERY opportunity I get I tell friends and family of this Lonestar pride-n-joy! Big ups to my Longhorn love'n boy; well deserved! Y'ALL !!! (hehehe…i just had to throw that in there)
Talk about up-close and personal… I would change my place with Bellamy any time in that pic.
WoW! Deuce
I love Clint. I love his temper and above all I love how he gives everything for his national team and club. He is so competitive and I love that. Love you Deuce !!!!!
whoa, that is a hot pic
there was a teacher at my high school who looked like Clint Dempsey…
had tattoos and err'thang! needless to say, it made the say a little bit better
Damn, what is football a sexy sport <3
Kat22, there's a difference between diving and theatrics once you're down. If you look at the hits Suarez takes and keeps going it seems like he's in the overly dramatic category. That might be annoying to many but its not cheating. I think he is an amazing player to watch and will mature in his response to fouls. He admits that he's extremely passionate on the field and that gets the better of him – something kickettes can appreciate.
even better pic of the situation:

That's hilarious…although it looks more like a passionate kiss! (Congrats to Clint for the goal!)
That is quite close……erm, and personal.
Hmmm, interesting game yesterday, especially the second half.
Really think Suarez needs to get a grip of himself though. The blatant diving and whinging is getting a bit ridiculous now and he's not doing himself any favours as refs just won't rule in his favour if he keeps it up. Not to mention that he gave the Fulham supporters the finger…
What's with all the hate for Suarez lately??? Ever since Ferguson branded him a diver (which is rich, considering he has the likes of Berbatov and Nani on his team, not to mention Ronaldo in the past) everyone seems to jump on the bandwagon!
I think it's a case of people being jealous he's not on their team and simply looking for any reason to hate!
Hang on a minute! First of all I never said I hate the guy. Second of all I don't need Fergie or anyone else to tell me that Suarez goes down easily. I have eyes.
This has nothing to do with jealousy whatsoever. I just think he needs to watch it a bit, for himself and his team and also because such antics spoil the overall game.
Well, I'm getting sick and tired of people hating on Liverpool and our players, specifically Suarez and Carroll.
They should concentrate on their own!
Well concentrating on your own players works well until some of his theatrics affect the outcome of my teams game. I think any fan of an EPL team is within their rights to worry about Suarez. Carroll not so much.
I'm with you, Caitlin. Nani and Ramires are the two worst divers in the EPL but you never hear people complaining about them. People just get a hate on for someone and then they simply loose their objectivity completely. And shame on those Fulham supporters who were abusing Suarez, I wish these so-called "fans" of the sport who shout racist and character slurs against players would get thrown out of the stadium with life time bans.
most people haven't forgotten the Suarez world cup handball fiasco, and probably never will.
people will always remember, judge him, and hate him for it. therefore, anything he ever
does wrong, will be amplified by 1000 because of what he did in the past.
That handball put me off Suarez…….and he's the biggest cheat in the EPL. As for the theatrics, he only comes close to Busquets. Let's be honest though he's not a very likeable person.
Do you know him personally???
Really. You obviously haven't been paying attention to David Luiz's antics lately. Or Rooney's. Or a whole lot of other players. And when it comes to "cheating" it's pretty hard to compete with Giggs and Rio Ferdinand; Suarez, whatever his faults, is much more likeable in my books than those two adulterers.
Or the biting incident.
Funny enough, I never watched either of those past incidences and never felt the need to look them up. So I like to think that my opinion on his falls is rather unbiased (and while I support Chelsea, I actually have no qualms with Liverpool). Some peeps just dive when they dont need to
Sorry, but I really can't take people like you seriously.
You only 'support' Chelsea because of Torres. If he was still with Liverpool you'd probably support them instead.
He does dive though. Quite often. I think it's more that people are angry he does it. He is a fantastic player who doesn't need to. He is quite talented. Plus he seems to be a little too emotional on the field and that could cause his team problems.
I'm with this. I actually sort of like Suarez as a player, but watching him do that is surprising because he is talented enough to not need to, and he could probably make some decent shots/goals if he continued the play and didn't try to win the F/PK. Diving bothers me more than most things in the game, even when the players I like most do it. Just because you support a player doesn't mean you need to support all of their behaviors… they're adults and can handle some constructive criticism. Liverpool fans should be looking for him to cut that out, as it will only improve him as a player for their team.
erm…i'm pretty sure most people are glad not to have to deal with having to stick up for a cheater like him.
especially myself as a Madridista. why would i want to defend cheating Suarez, when we get enough flack
for Ronaldo (who hardly ever goes down without being brought down anymore, yet still gets accused
of being a diver) and DiMaria. nope! you can keep Suarez! have him! no one is jealous!
i read your other comment, Carroll is a quality player. people probably hate his aggressive behaviour
and his woman beating past, to be more specific.
I agree 100%. Liverpool fans should be ashamed of him after he stuck his middle finger up. That kind of behaviour is vulgar and inappropriate. No other professional sports person would consider doing such a thing and can hold their heads up high no matter what. Honestly, it just sets a bad example to the thousands of kids who idolise him… He's a talented player – just stoopid.
PS. Loving the Craig/Clint love <3
Oh god…I don't think I have it in me to be ashamed of Liverpool. Suarez will come around, he was a bit of a loose cannon anyway, and I think that King Kenny will handle it. I think that he's frustrated and definitely will get his act together, especially since this FA probe is going on. BTW… this game was so hard for me to watch; I wanted the reds to win sooo badly; but was extremely happy that Clint scored Fulham's winner. Plus Fulham has had a rough season so far, I've always had a bit of soft spot for them.
I’m not sure I agree with that. So what if Suarez gave some fans the middle finger. Don’t dish it out if you can’t take it. And why is Suarez a role model for kids. A child’s role models should be their parents.
I’m a Liverpool fan and I will give you that Suarez dives, but he also doesn’t get any protection from referees, so it is a vicious cycle. Plus, it is not for referees to make decisions in context, but to look at the situation in hand.
Well, you know what sometimes fans need to be middle fingered, when a player is under constant abuse of racist slurs, death treat to him and his family…etc, I understand if a player would snap and just give them the finger, why would he be punished for it. I don't encourage it or I want see it alot in football, but hey a middle finger doesnt hurt anyone, it is a just a middle finger.
I don't like Suarez a bit not because of diving ( as a Madridista, I will be a hypocrite to say with Angel on my team), I don't like him because he actually bit a guy's ear in a game, his cheating in the world cup too, but the ear's bitting was just disgusting!.
I wasn't too shoked at what I was seeing here. If I had to pick any two from each of these clubs to get it on, it would have been these two.
I generally never care for fighting, but something about me would pay to put those two in a ring together. Bellamy should know that Deuce will pull out his gangsta rap and he's not afraid to show it. Even Andy Carroll looks scared!
