Coleen Rooney: A Working Gal’s Uniform
New mum Coleen Rooney has headed back to work and we love some of her recent fashion choices.
Before you ask, Coleen’s “work” includes promoting things, making appearances, and supporting her hubby at swanky dinners. Throw in a manservant + her credit limit and we will gladly change jobs with her.
First up in the diary was an appearance last Thursday at the Liverpool Hilton for the launch party of local designer Philip Armstrong’s new collection. Coleen has worn Mr. Armstrong’s designs many times before, but, er, not on this occasion.
Instead, she chose a black drapey dress by Halston Heritage (left) to which she added a gold plaited belt. Her “work” for the night likely included schmoozing and cocktail drinking. Le sigh.
On Monday, Col took a trip to open the new Argos store in St. Helens, Merseyside, promoting her jewelery line, Coleen X, (which includes price-conscious charm bracelets, rings, necklaces and watches.) FYI, her outfit on the day (top photo) was not quite in the same “normal/peasant class” price range as her precious metals - a white lace Alice by Temperley dress and a pair of Miu Miu wedges.
Although we like it when WAGs change up their style, one thing we’re really on board with is Coleen’s working gal fashion formula: cinched waist, hair pulled back, killer heels. Defo a work uniform to consider the next time you’re launching a collection, dear readers.

For a minute I thought Coleen had taken ‘girl next door’ a bit too far and started working in Argos. Nice dress though.
Did I miss something? Was there some Cols bashing somewhere? Anyway, she looks ok lately, but I would prefer if she mixed it up a bit and maybe wore something out of her comfort zone…it starts to look like a uniform with the same length dress and hairstyle all the time. She has gorgeous hair and I really wish she would wear it down sometime. She did look great the players awards ceremony though.
Doesn’t drive me crazy.
Quite dull to be honest.
ohhhhhhhhhhhh i kinda like the white dress.but it would of looked soooooo much better on someone with a better body.!!!!! and i seriously don’t get why the paper’s and magazine’s go crazy for a golddigging scrounger.!!!!!i think i’m gonna stop there. because i’m quite angry right now…
Aww Coleen looks great!! And I want that white dress lol!
i love her. i want to be her friend. she’s like the normal girl’s victoria beckham (i know wayne doesn’t quite measure up to becks, but whatev).
I think Coleen is amazing. She is just class, simply, not always trying to over do it Hollywood stylie, with all the umpa loompa orange fake bake and over sparkle motion blingasized…ahem, lookin’ at you Alex….
I don’t care what people want to say about her “up bringing”- she is pure class and a fabulous role model for young girls! Yeay for Coleen! She’s Adorbs!
i'm not a fan of coleen, but surely what happens in her personal life, who she dates and what she does is her own business (so what if wayne helped her get were she is, she would be the first to admit it, and if wayne doesn't have a problem, then why should you?), if you were in a place like hers- would you like it if people bashed you simply cause they can?
hahahaha well said about the first part. absolute <3.
I’ve noticed she’s looking really good lately, and I do approve her fashion choices too. I still remember the dress she wore to the last year races as it really wasn’t suited for her figure. She’s come a long way.
Does she even wear her own jewelery ?
Ladies, calm down. It is a fashion post so stick to the topic.
Play nice.
Thanks.
Is that you Alex Gerrard?!
i second that
She is darling, that dress is not the right color for her, a light pink would have been so much better
She looks fab!
I would so wear that white dress myself.
She is working it lately! I loved her dress and shoes for the United player awards the other night.

cute! she has really bounced back after the bubba body! I think shes cute, not all weird and rail-y for her height. (which yes, yes, i know I want to be all skinny mini, but whatever, I never said I wasn't a hypocrite…) She carries herself well, I love the dress too.
