Coleen Rooney Launches Jewellery Line
So, here it is: the release of the Coleen Rooney line of jewellery, exclusively at Argos.
Or, as we like to call it round these parts: “hope it doesn’t turn your ears green line of Tiffany knockoffs and zirconium delights.”
Too harsh? Okay, we do rather like the look of the rings, and the line is very cost-efficient, ranging from £10 for a pair of earrings up to £40 for a silver necklace with a gold crystal.
That said, even though this is a financial time of frugality, we do like our jewellery to remain non-gangrenous for at least the first hour of wear. Hopefully there’s some sort of guarantee.
Also, shopping at Argos is not the most enjoyable retail experience:
fighting for space at the catalogue counters, climbing/stepping over the animals and babies abandoned on the shop floor to find one of the free pencils to fill out your order form, queuing up for 40 minutes to place your order only to find the item hasn’t been in stock since the late 1970s, making an order, picking off the gum, garbage and babies stuck to your shoe whilst waiting for your order, and then finally receiving your order, which looks not a damn sight close to the photo in the catalogue.
Or so we’ve heard.

I like Coleen, but will never buy this. Professional designers must create jewellery and clothes, not celebrities or WAGs.

Oh, dear – that's not the most flattering pic of Coleen. The jewellery looks, well . . . cheap. Good to know that she's keeping some Chinese sweatshop workers employed. :S That Argos sounds horrendous. Something like Consumers Distributing (now defunct Canadian chain)? Awful way to shop. *shudder*

Wow. I totally haven't commented on this. But yeah – I'm not impressed by the jewelry. I think the Everything For $1 store has some of the same stuff.

There is really nothing wrong with ARGOS as such. I would not buy any jewellery there but if you want buy a hoover you can save some serious money there.

Hmm looks cheap, but well done Col for doing another actual job there! I’m unfamiliar with Argos and Consumers Distributing, but they both sound like this store called Brand Names (I think) from when I was a kid. I remember going in there with my dad and there was no actual merchandise on the floor so you shopped out of a catalog and filled out a form. I think we bought a bread making machine from there…
