Comings & Goings: Javi Garcia, Irina Shayk & Robert Lewandowski
Car services and elite access airport lounges worldwide had a busier Monday than normal it seems, Kickettes.
Javier Garcia, for example, pulled on his least obscene Playboy t-shirt, gelled his hair way up into Mario Gomez’s airspace and hitched a ride to Las Rozas to report for Spanish NT Euro 2012 training duty with several others. Then there was Irina Shayk navigating Nice airport’s treacherous arrivals terminal with her monogram luggage most convincingly. Even Poland’s Robert Lewandowski put his back(pack) in to it as he politely bypassed the autograph eager fans outside his squad’s Euro 2012 training camp hotel.
Our staff wasn’t nearly as fortunate as these frequently travelling folks. We, the standard class, spent most of today toiling and slaving over the vertiginous stacks of work on our desks using meager rations of cheap vodka shots and expired Crunchie bars to fuel our aching bodies.
To the working Kickettes amongst us, you feeling our summer’s-almost-here-but-isn’t-c’mon-you-slow-poke pain?

LOL You're sound like an angrier man than anyone else on here! Why are you so offended by the fact people are questioning why Irina is going to Cannes? She's one of my favorite models and even I think it's kind of funny how she'll be at movie premieres and red carpet events just to wear a gown and get photographed. Just because she's beautiful doesn't mean anyone who questions or criticizes her is jealous or living in a basement

As much as I like Irina, this is why I admire models like Candice Swanepoel/Miranda Kerr/Adriana Lima more. They are equally as gorgeous and yet they let their work speak for itself and don't have to attend every red carpet event just because they can. Candice is spending her down time in New York with her mother, instead of walking the red carpet at Cannes and sailing aboard a yacht like I'm sure Irina will be doing
The only models that should be at Cannes are the ones who work for L'Oreal or the ones who have movies showing. As much as I like Irina and Bar Refaeli, it's clear they just show up for the free parties, glamour and publicity.
