never seen a guy look so sharpin a suit!

  2. Horseofunk says:

I love him. Not only for his good looks but for his personality also, that shines through whenever he speaks :)

  3. Spandu says:

    he's fit

  4. AiM says:

What makes Leo Messi especially beautiful is his personality. His amazing talent of course makes him even more attractive..but if it wasn't for his shy demeanour, his humility, his loyalty to his country and devotion to his family, I'm not sure I'd find him as incredibly adorable. Plus, his nice 'package' is just one big (excuse the pun) bonus :D

  5. Hyperlexian says:

He's a very handsome guy thats for sure, i really do find the man rather attractive and this photo just shows how great he looks.

leo can only get better looking with age.

  6. coolbreez says:

Psssh he's better looking than most of the RM squad

  7. Juliette says:

It's really shocking to read some of these nasty comments about Leo's looks, I've seen many men and women whose features the 'eyes' would deem not attractive and they have partners who adore them. Why? because there is something in this world more powerful than anything man made, it's invisible but mighty, try and fight it and you'll lose , IT decides who you fancy and who you don't. I think CR is a beautiful man, and yes most of the RM squad are 'better looking' than Leo, but I 'fancy the ass' off Lionel Messi.

  8. Jill says:

he's is gorgeous and far better looking than c ronaldo or beckham.

messi is handsome and classy. what more could a girl ask for :)

  9. Nance says:

Very good looking and has beutiful hair

  10. hana says:

    ooohhh messi
    absolutely gorgeous looks!!

  11. Gillian says:

Hmm….Messi, here, there & everywhere lately – and looking good!

  12. xoWinnie says:

nope. still a no, sorry. still too short for my taste, hate his lack of jaw definition…still can't get over that face overall. glad he got a haircut though. slight improvement.

  13. Debz says:

He's being dropped from US Time Cover, and only available for Asian, Europe and South Pasific. I guess he's not that famous…

    • _Titi_ says:

so the whole world revolves around US? the fact that he isn't on the US doesn't discredit the fact that the guy is one of the most famous faces around the world. The world population is around 7 billion, not 340 million americans.

  14. rilia says:

I can not describe in words how much I love this man, hes so amazing and humble, hope he stays the way hes is

  15. Kristina says:

Messi has always been cute. And he is one of the best players of all times. Go Leo! It's lonely at the top, but never listen to people that wants to cut you down!

  16. Kaitlyn says:

Messi is to damn FINE!! And I think he is the best player in the world.

  17. Jillybean says:

So did the mystery over Leo's ring (blatantly worn on the tux photo) ever get solved? The Time magazine article still described Antonella as girlfriend… Just curious. In any case, i am doing everything in my power to get a copy of that esquire magazine!!!! He is lovely. Heart him very very much.

  18. PUPOVAC SNJEZANA says:

HE LOOKS GREAT,MAYBE NOT EVERY TIME.NOR BRAD PITT LOOKS GREAT EVERY TIME

  19. KL7 says:

Nope, not even Dolce can help.

  20. Sidney Fer says:

I don't think he is the best player ever. Go and search more about Pele, Maradona and Di Stefano.! Messi plays well with Barcelona jersey because he has a lots good players around him. Xavi , Iniesta and more. When he plays for Argentina National Team he become a ok player. http://www.blogaboutsoccer.com

  21. Ella says:

THAT BOY IS FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEE…i wouldn't kick him out of bed for cookies

  22. Agnes Wonka says:

He looks handsome, classy and cool. Well done!

  23. littlegreenpea says:

He was also on the cover of TIME… but only the international version…

  24. Catie2838 says:

Aww he looks like a sweet, slightly shorter James Bond :)

  25. Danielle says:

Messi having his hair cut into a decent style has done him wonders. He's looking well niiiice lately.

  26. Lilly says:

I actually think he's hot in a boy-next-door way, which is the best way imo. I never saw the appeal in guys like CRon or Beckham. Too obvious. I like normality, and I know tons of girls who think likewise. Yay for Leo!

  27. ChefDi says:

I used to think Leo Messi only looked about 12 years old for the longest time but y'know, not so much anymore! Ooooh yes, what a handsome young man he is, with his true beauty radiating from the inside out. Love him.

  28. Caitlyn says:

Question… Am i the only one who thinks he is the double of Roman Polanski? And lets face it like Roman Polanski, the only thing most woman find attractive about him is his craft/money But compared to most other footballers he is the best yet seems the most humblest out of all of them, unlike some of the narcissistic ones who feel a need to join twitter and tweet every incoming thought, like there brains are leaking.

  29. Lucy says:

sorry I don´t think the guy is hot, as Roger Federer once said: "the more famous you are the better looking you get"

    • truthbetold says:

truer words were never spoken. I wish he would perform better on the national team. THEN we could speak of him being the best.

      • _Titi_ says:

        lol not this again

        • truthbetold says:

what's that supposed to mean? This man is a COMPLETE FAILURE for the national team. That's a fact. Love the people who try to laugh away his iinability to lead on the NT and fail to make a counter statement that has actually substance. And one more thing: be careful which name you choose here on this blog. Hate to see a great player like TH being disgraced by your less than mediocre statements.

          • _Titi_ says:

OMG lmfao at the "be careful which name you choose" first of all, I've had this Id name for a while and this isn't the only blog I post on with this account. Actually I don't comment often as I do in another blog. And second I doubt an anon person's ID on the internets is going to disgrace a player's legacy. LMFAO ok now. Comments like yours aren't really rare in a site like kickette i've answered comments like that before so Im just gonna copy and paste what I said last time:

What people like you fail to realize is that football is a TEAM sport. The fact that Argentina's past two coaches were completely incompetent when it comes to coaching played a big part in their lack of success. Also a big part the fact that they had no defense or midfield. People always bring up "oh Argentina have players like Tevez, Aguero, Higuain, Messi etc. etc." How in the world can 4 strikers win a game? They can;t even all play at the same time. Having a defense consisting of Otamendi Demichelis Burdisso Heinze is not going to win you ****, especially if you are up against teams who are great in the counter attack like Germany. None of these defenders can even start for atleast one of the top ten clubs in football. And with a midfield of Di Maria (who maradona btw played in DM) and Mascherano you aren't getting ****. The creative burden fell on Messi. All the people going why doesn't Messi score for Argentina when hes always scoring for Barca. Umm hello genius he plays a false 9 for barca whearas he plays behind two strikers for Argentina as an AM. His job in barca is to score goals which he does phenomenally and his job in Arg is to supply goals which he also does well Messi created the highest goal chances in the copa, it isn't his fault that Higuain and Tevez were off form and missed almost everything he created. Bottom line Messi basically works his ass off for Arg but the lack of finishing from some of the strikers, and the lack of a creative midfield that can help Messi out, and a total lack of defense halts Argentina from doing well.

            thats it. kthnxbye

            • truthbetold says:

no sh*t Sherlock! Football is a team sport. What profound words from a true football sage.LOL. You just disqualified yourself as totally incompetent. Everyone knows that football is a team sport. And I'm tired of the sorry as* excuses by football "fans" like you trying to defend Messi by excusing his lousy performance through belittling other players saying, Argentina doesn't have a good team, players are out of form, bla bla bla. What's next? The sun shone in his eyes, his lucky socks were in the laudry? Argentina is an alright team enough for him to show his brilliance, which he doubtless has and shows at Barca. And G*d knows the Argentinians are cocky enough to have already seen themselves lifting the cup. But it takes a bit more than being brilliant at Barca to be called one of the best of all time. He's the one with the best potential, but he needs to show this at the NT as well. That's all I'm saying. So don't get your knickers twisted over stuff you obviously have no clue about. Go back to your room and keep kissing Messi posters and above all learn something about football before you come and post isht about football. "The creative burden fell on Messi" Bwaahahahahhaaa. Yes, to speak in your p*th*tic words, it indeed did, and it crushed him flat out straight.

              • Kristina says:

Bitter much? Titi tried to answer your comment with some football related arguments, while you're just ranting and piling up empty sarcasms.

Take a cold shower hun, and come back when you want to talk actual football.

                • _Titi_ says:

lol I know right. She says that she knows that football is a team sport but doesn't want to admit that one player can't make a whole team champions. She says that hes **** but he did his role in the team perfectly. His role was to supply and create and he did that. Whatever I'm not gonna bother. Oh and she put "fan" in quotes for me, acting as if she knows so much about football but has yet to mention a football related argument lol

                  • Kristina says:

Something tells me she/he wasn't interested in discussing football at all. I agree with your analysis of Messi in Argentina, and he is just getting better and better in his role there. But if you know nothing about football, or you are not interested, you don't se that.

              • _Titi_ says:

lmao I can't even with this.

              • TFBlovesArsenal says:

I don't know how to tell you this, but "pathetic" isn't a derogatory word. There's no need for you to censor it…though I would recommend censoring your pathetic arguments and petty jabs. Seriously, what is your problem?

            • Sarah, Madrid says:

I find kind it ironic, that in world cup Maradona thought Di Maria could work as DM, he failed then in Real Madrid his defensive work rate is top notch, he is literally working as D/CM. So, I kind give credit for Maradona he definitely saw something, but he is not really a good coach to do it correctly :P

              • _Titi_ says:

Well its not really the same thing. I don't watch most real madrid games but Di Maria is usually in the midfield with Alonso to an extent and Kheidira two other very good DMs, yes he does track back more than your other forwards do like Ozil and Cron for example but his role isn't that of a DM maybe its just in Barca but all our players are encouraged to track back and pressure to win the ball back. Another thing you can consider is RM's defense is miles better than Argentina's defense is, maybe ever will be. They produce so many talented forwards but lack great defenders. Hopefully they will start showing up soon, they need players like Ayala to emerge.

                • Sarah, Madrid says:

I watch real Madrid games, honestly di Maria is the only player in attack they you constantly find in the back tracking and defending( now cristano he is taking on the role of defending) I don't meaning the sense of being a DM like pure defensive midfielder( even Khedira and Alonso aren't really pure defensive only lass is) what I mean is Maradona saw that angel can used in role of defending in the midfield, but he couldn't use it as Mourinho.
About argentine, they have garay! I hope they start using him as he is the best defender for argentine now

          • indianmuggle says:

He ain't a failure for his team. His team fails him. You really expect him to single handedly lead his team to win when rest of the team isn't playing well, for instance, Higuain is missing all the chances Messi sets for him. Messi is still the best player in the world. the Albiceleste need to use him to their advantage.

    • Melaniee. says:

sorry but i completely disagree. messi is very attractive and thats because i know him as a person. well i haven't met him but i do know what he is like and to me that makes him more attractive. not all girls are shallow to only find a guy attractive because he is very famous. i wonder who you find attractive. if you say cristiano ronaldo i feel as though you would be a huge hypocrite. now I'm not saying this to cause problems because everyone has their own personal tastes in guys or girls, but to say that the one of the main reasons we find him attractive is cause he is famous is simply appalling.

      • xoWinnie says:

she said "better looking" as in referring to how he looks, not whether he has an attractive personality or not. a lot of people would dismiss Messi's so-called PHYSICAL attractiveness if he wasn't who he was, so the Federer quote is correct in a sense. i'm not so sure the same can be said about Cristiano (you know, since his name always has to be brought up as a comparison as though they're the only two footballers in the world…/*roll eyes*)

        • Melaniee. says:

i only said cristiano because so many consider him to the the most attractive player and probs the most famous (besides backs of course) so its very generic to say that he's the hottest or wtvr. I'm pretty sure if he wasn't famous, he wouldn't be that big of a deal. and i guess you're right that in a way that it is correct, but we can say this about so many different players. i just did not care for the fact that the way she said it implied that people find messi attractive because fame has a lot to do with it, which i do not think is true at all. personally i don't understand the big deal about iker. i mean he's okay looking but i don't swoon when i see him. we all have our personal tastes but i did not care for what the implied meaning was. disagree with me all you want but thats how i feel. Also, i don't appreciate the *roll eyes* comment because honestly that makes you sound extremely immature. just because you find messi unattractive gives you no right to act like a bitch. sorry but i had to say it.

          • xoWinnie says:

says the "bitch" who assumes that just because someone doesn't like Messi they must like guys like Ronaldo. how narrow-minded of you. you also basically Cristiano has an attractive personality, and praised Messi's over his. have you met them? either of them? so you know that for a pure fact, huh? it's your opinion, but it's also MY opinion that people need to stop comparing these two at every turn, especially since the end result almost always seems to be a Real vs. Barca argument. the most famous pretty-boy baller of all time has to be Beckham, so you could have named him, but instead you chose Cristiano. i'm sure that was purely coincidental. NOT. anyways, classically speaking, Ronaldo has more attractive traits then Messi. he is tall, broad-shouldered, doe-eyed with chiselled bone-structure, cheese-grater abs, full sexy lips…i can go on for days. he has some unattractive features (i personally hate his neck area in general) and his love for over-tanning, but whatever. it's better than being short, dumpy, pasty, and slack-jawed like Messi. i'm sure the vast majority of people with functioning eyeballs would agree.

p.s. *rolls eyes* AGAIN at you calling a person you've never met and never will meet a bitch online. especially when talking about "maturity" lol. grow up.

            • xoWinnie says:

              *unattractive personality

            • Melaniee. says:

i guess i was a little out of line calling you a bitch. i think i was just frustrated in general so i am sorry about that. I'm not trying to constantly compare them cause i know they are completely different people. i see what you mean about cristiano being more attractive person in general & i know many people who will agree with you. i agree with you about the over tanning because it looks very strange on him. i just find that both have equally attractive qualities but i guess i found cristiano guilty by association with RM. so that is my fault and i should not have brought it out on you or Lucy. i will just accept that you have your opinions and i have mine and i guess we should just leave it like that. honestly I'm kind of embarrassed of myself cause i usually don't start stupid internet fights about nothing. so i am sorry and i must respect your opinion cause we all have them no matter if we disagree with them or not. I'm not gonna comment anymore cause again I'm kinda embarrassed so in a way i hope you respect my opinion. if you don't or won't, thats okay.

    • Marcie says:

Agree. It would be unfair to be as talented as he is and THEN be good looking on top of it. He could only choose one.

    • Kristina says:

That Federer quote goes for half of the RM team, as I tried to explain some weeks ago at this very blog… "Hot by association" I called it, but Federer said it well also.

      • xoWinnie says:

half of the Real Madrid team (which has no relevance to Messi in this post whatsoever) are still more attractive than Messi. more than half, actually. hell, in my opinion, i'd even hazard to say MOST. and before you try to argue against it, with "beauty is in the eye of the beholder statements", most men on Real have the physical features which are socially regarded as being the most attractive in men (i.e. the tall dark and handsome equation which Messi is sorely lacking).

        • Kristina says:

Why is it that you can never use analogies or comparisons to exemplify and clarify what you mean? Because that is what I'm doing. I'm not a robot, my mind makes connections between similarities. And btw, I wrote my opinion about Messi further down in this comment section. I think he holds his ground well in the competition with the two "tall, dark and handsome" men in RM.

None of us here are very good at sticking to the point. There is always someone, myself included, that starts talking about the hotness of particular player or the ugliness of another, whatever the post is really about. And I don't recall anyone complaining about that. Maybe your willingness to point out my digression lies in the fact that you don't agree with me? And another thing, I think an anthropologist would have a thing or two to say about what is "socially regarded as being the most attractive in men" :) .

          • xoWinnie says:

the same way you ask that question is the way i always wonder why you and some others here always have to justify/compare/sh1t on Real Madrid and Real players, and vice versa. it also annoys me when it's the other way around, but generally, it just so happens that when someone on Barcelona is criticized, people have to find someone on Real to compare them to in order to uplift them in some way (i.e. the poster above who basically said anyone who prefers Ronaldo look-alikes over Messi is shallow). i'm sure an anthropologist would agree with me actually. it is human nature for for people to be attracted to other people with more favourable genes, is it not? being a tall male gives you an instant advantage in life. short men have to work much harder to prove themselves, to women, in the workplace, etc. they have to work harder/be better than people so that they are taken seriously. that's already a +1 for the individuals on Real Madrid you're calling "hot by association".

anyways, back to my original post, you're right, i don't agree with you. at all. but i also have no idea why a comment not-so-subtly bashing "half of Real Madrid" in order to defend the fact that some people don't find Messi attractive was necessary. i'm sure. perhaps you're a bit annoyed that in general, people here seem to rival that opinion?

            • Kristina says:

Sorry, I'm not bashing. I'm just referring to my old discussion on why one team can be perceived as "the most good looking one", when they, imo, is like any other team. I'm not saying that RM players are ugly, I never say that about anyone. The Federer quote got me going on my old discussion that's all. Sorry if you think it don't belong here, but I think it does. And yes, perhaps it annoys me that there is always people who says things like that about Messi. It doesn't annoy me because I'm a Cule, it annoys me because it's perfectly safe to say those things about him. And it's unfair because he is just as attractive as most players out there. And I mean it.

People can think and feel what they want. But I find it fascinating how modern myths arise. I just finished watching Chelsea – Man U, and I wonder, why isn't it Chelsea that is considered the most handsome club in the world? They've got A LOT of hot men. Why? Because that myth isn't revered.

              • Satah, Madrid says:

because Kristina none of these club has a president as Perez who has a very marketable mind and takes look into consideration when signing his players ( Beckham over Ronaldinho), the moment Mourinho in charge in signing you saw the like of Di Maria and Coentrao in the RM squad, but for Perez looks or let's say "marketable value" is part of package when signing for RM.

              • xoWinnie says:

probably because Real is more popular than Chelsea…? they have a more "respectable" history than Chelsea (according to those who call it the Mickey Mouse Club etc). also, on this blog in particular, which teams' post generate the most comments? Real and Barca. which teams' individual players generate the comments here? Real and Barca. it's just a matter of the opinions on this site, which favour Real in terms of looks, that doesn't mean people don't think Chelsea is a sexy team. same with Liverpool, or any other team with a lot of attractive players. it's just that people turn everything into a Real/Barca debate, and then turn around and question why it's always like that lol

                • Kristina says:

For the record, I didn't turn it into a Real/Barca debate. I left Barca out of the discussion. Two things was of my concern, one: irritation over the fact that Messi is always a sitting duck for people who doesn't think longer than their noses, two: philosophising over the fact that someone would not hesitate to use a quote like that when Messi is involved but never when any other medioker looking football star is featured. And what better example to use than the hyped-for-little-reason RM-players?

                  • Kristina says:

*mediocre, medioker is Swedish :) . And don't go thinking that it was you I had in mind when I wrote "People that don't think longer than their noses". We may have differences of opinion (and get off on different things) but you are by no means stupid :) .

                    • xoWinnie says:

yes i know, and it's not you in particular who i'm referring to when i say people like to turn everything into a Real vs. Barca debate, but there's a great many here who do. also, certain comments add fuel to the fire too. what i was trying to say i guess is that in my opinion, a lot of the players on Real are considered good-looking because they are! of course there are players like Pepe, Marcelo, Carvalho, Lass etc that i don't find attractive in the least. but on the other hand there are players who just ooze sex appeal to me, all in their own different ways. Cristiano, Iker, Sergio, Callejon, Granero, Pipa, Albiol, Arbeloa, Kaka, Benz, people even coo over Ozil (not me lol). the players most people typically swoon over tend to be good-looking. i think the good-looking players outnumber the not-so-good lol at Madrid. the reason being that they all have similar "attractive" features. that's probably why people like to claim they are the best looking club in the world, even though you think they're overrated.

    • Emma says:

just inputting on the "the more famous you are the better looking you get" and i'm all for that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and i respect your opinion/don't want to argue about this with you and that some epople are attracted to fame but i have always thought Leo is gorgeous even when he was in Barcelona B but then my friends always say i have odd taste in men. . .

  30. Gladys says:

Well hello there, handsome! Que guapo!

  31. Emma says:

i c wut u did thar ;) …… Leo seriously needs to get more credit for his looks, yeah ok so he's the best footballer in the world at the moment, BIG DEAL. he's also pretty beautiful which people seem to forget!!
