David Beckham: This Is Not Okay

Image: Rcf/Bauer Griffin.

Footy stars buying their own produce? It’s normally a ‘do’, dear readers. You know, Celebs! They’re just like us! and all that good stuff.

But David Beckham and other footy stars of his calibre buying their own produce whilst wearing socks with sandals?

It’s a definite do-not-pass-go-and-give-us-the-100-quid-you’ve-wrongly-collected ‘don’t’.

Our new GoldenBalls Rule: DBecks is allowed to wear tight whiteness in public only if the article of clothing in question bears either his initials or Armani’s. Please and thank you.

I don't think that there is anything wrong with that. Some times you just want to be comfortable and it is quite normal. I don't know whay people expect that celebrities always have to wear top of the line clothes.

I think poeple seem to 4get that as much as footballers r goodlookin, they’re still human!!we put them on such a peddlestool that when they do sth like this, its like they broke some sort of law!!!i think he looks ok in this.i would understand if it was sum ugly ball player like puyi, then it would make them look worse than they already do,bt this is BECKHAM!!!the guy is what we use 2 measure hot and not!!and he doesnt even look that bad!ur actin as if he left the house in his jammies!!lol

I always laugh when people come on and say that they don't find him hot. What's the point? Don't waste your breath

…and how could I have missed the I'm really naked with a touch of clothing message! No wonder I love it.

  7. Bella says:

He's adorable, love that they're so "tidy" white. This outfit screams, I'm a jock and loving it and you can too – or not, whatever. He might not put it in exactly those words of course ;-) but I'm in.

  8. Holly says:

When I was in college, my roommate called this look (socks and soccer flops) "birth control shoes." Always made me smile.

  9. anon says:

he needs to burn those socks, the look is not cool!

This is true. Also, if you google enough you will find Landon wearing this same sock/sandal combo. I fear that David is taking foot fashion advice from Landon. I’m thinking VB did not give him the once over before he went to shop at Whole Foods.

      • marynoo says:

I'm not sure if it's because celebrities do it, or the weather, or a combination of the two. Everyone just dresses super casually. Upside: you don't have to own a suit unless you're an agent or sell insurance. Downside: it's hard to tell who's homeless and who's on the front page of Variety.

What is wrong with you women @ Kickette HQ? this man is the reason the word perfection is in the dictionary! Put your wine glass down please!

    • Believe it or not, we often do put our wine glasses down. In between sips, for example. But in our humble opinions, David's overstepping his perfection-in-human-form boundaries. So are we with our overuse of hyphens.

  16. kristen says:

to echo previous sentiments… he can do whatever he wants… he's david beckham.

  17. Kristina says:

Everything is OK when it comes to him. That beauty of a man!

  18. rubii says:

it is really ok with me lol

  19. Miss_F says:

It's David Beckham… he could wear a bin bag and look super hot ;)

Anyhoo… lots of footy players do this… when i met the Tunisian national 'ballers they wore exactly the same to dinner(!)and to be honest, it didn't look that bad! :)
