David Beckham: Choices, Covers and Clothing

Last time we checked, the individuals featured on the cover of Men’s Health magazine tend to be of the shirtless and highly- dehydrated- for- better- ab- definition variety.

imageSo what gives with David Beckham being featured fully-clothed and re-bearded? We’re totally canceling our subscription on principle alone.

Who is managing the editorial policy of this magazine, for God’s sake, someone with ethics?

In other Becks news, he and Victoria were at the Teen Choice Awards in Hollywood last night – David won the Top Athlete award, which is voted on by thousands of teens across the States.

It may or may not also be voted on by those masquerading as teens and doctoring hundreds of ballots and bribing the tabulation committee.

Not that we would know anything about such scandalous behaviour.

Yeahh the armarni ads are definatley better… Did anyone here about cruz doing breakdancing at the awards? Hes such a cutie :)

  2. Mrs. John Terry says:

Genevieve, I agree with you. He should return to Armani. I liked his English working class turned millionaire look. His American look is disgusting me. He is just an ordinary celebrity nowadays.

  3. Genevieve Gourcuff says:

So upset re the return of the beard. And yeah, that hat is revolting. It doesn't even look like him on the cover! Just goes to show when it comes to fashion, forget the Yanks and leave it to Armani

Dapper David! I don’t care what he wears or does or says….the man is just plain hot. End of.

I'm with diziet – thats not a good hat. But my brother gets that magazine, so I pretty much screamed when I saw BeardedBecks on the cover. Not from joy – from fear of the beard.

  6. Sara says:

Becks fully clothed is always a disappointing sight..but I find the vintage look and beard very nice. Very nice indeed.

  7. Alexandra says:

That picture is just so wrong!!!

  8. diziet says:

IMHO the suit is fine. The hat is the problem. I mean, what's the caption? "Can you spare any change, guv"? Steptoe Beckham is so not a good look.

  9. aristeia says:

I just don't mind the beard. I may not think he's the alpha and the omega, but he still is a fine specimen of man.

lol @ last paragraph. touche Kickette. i'm a little down on the current style de beckhams..i mean they look good, but i miss the days of the low buttoned shirt and the hair extensions. yeah, those were good days… <img src="http://i322.photobucket.com/albums/nn416/ali1730/Randoms/5-3-1.jpg" alt="Photobucket" border="0"> source: google images

WTF is with that hat?? If he has to wear clothes, at least make them decent ones!!

  12. TammyV says:

I don't think the beard has returned… I think the photoshoot was around the first beard time. This is just the release of them. He didn't have it at the game yesterday or the awards last night

  13. Brandy says:

How disappointing. I only get the magazine for it’s gratuitous male nudity, I mean articles, so this is troubling. Ick to the beard. That pic of him with the award looks like the high school surf stoner who brought his board aka his one true love with him to homecoming instead of asking an actual girl. Goodness – that pic of Becks below is AMAZING!
