Delivery Suite Delight: Nemanja & Ana Vidic, Luca Toni & Marta Cecchetto
Image: Blic Online. Cheers to @IvaNedic for the tip.
It’s never a good time for a wife and girlfriend jealously break, per say, but take a reprieve from our usual raucous raciness we shall anyway.
C’mon and join us. It’ll be fun.
Nemanja & Ana Vidic
Following in the steps of his Manchester United team-mate, Rio Ferdinand, and his wife, Rebecca, Nemanja and Ana Vidic were asked to join Wythenshawe Hospital in South Manchester’s staff re-open their newly renovated maternity ward last Friday.
Ana, who has about three weeks to go until she delivers her third bundle of joy at this location (the same hospital where her other two sons were born), said she was “honored” but “a bit nervous” about doing the curtain drawing duties because, “In general people ask my husband to talk but it seems in this situation I am the main star.”
During the Vidics’ tour of the hospital’s £20m upgrades, Nemanja confirmed what we already knew about the sex of their couple’s third child: ”We are happy to be having another boy. Our sons are already United fans and I’d like them to play sports but we won’t push them into anything. They love football and tennis.”
Anyone else want to hate – but can’t – on Ana for looking this good whilst nearly nine months pregnant?
Oh, and before we forget, our sources at Hola! Serbia say there are no photoshoot plans to “reveal” the Vidic bubba to the world, so we’ll have to pray to the paparazzi Gods in the meantime.
Juventus ‘baller for not much longer, Luca Toni, and his longtime girlfriend, Marta, announced to Chi magazine that their +3 years of trying for a baby has finally paid off. Talk about DNA taking it’s damn time!
As we told you over the weekend, Marta is due with their first child June 2012. The Italian model tends to keep a lower profile than other WAGs, and she’s another great example of the best way to get your ‘baller hookup: get in early and hang on. She and Luca have been seriously committed to one another for 12 years, despite the absence of a massive diamond or marriage decree.
T-w-e-l-v-e years, Kickettes. If that’s not aspirational then we don’t know what is.
Congrats and good luck to both footy couples!
