Din Dins: Steven and Alex Gerrard at Nobu
Steven Gerrard and his wife Alex were out and about in London last night. They had a stop off at Nobu before heading over to the Mayfair hotel for a few drinks. Where’s the news? Well, let’s see what we can drum up.
- Alex is continuing her recent spate of looking pretty smashing. Hair, makeup, clothes – she really looks rather fabulous.
- And Steven, is that a mobile phone in your pocket, or are you just – or wait. It is a mobile phone. Never mind.
Not news: Alex recently saying that she doesn’t like to go out in Liverpool because it’s gotten a “bit rough”;. We see no harm in that- surely every WAG living in a major city in the UK can say that? We’ve seen our fair share of roughneck jackassery from Brighton to Birmingham. Of course, that comment coming off the back of Steven’s recent acquittal for assault is somewhat ironic.

Oh, Alex. You spend all that effort looking lovely and then you ruin it by saying something stupid. *sighs* I live in Liverpool, and none of the bars I go out to are rough. Perhaps if Alex didn't go to the obvious places where all the WAG/glamour model wannabees hang out and picked somewhere quieter to go she'd have a nicer time…

I happen to enjoy Phil Collins. So I guess I have no taste either. Damn. Alex is a Merseyside girl, so it's not like an import stating it. Maybe not the best thing to say right now, but in reality she's talking about her hometown.

i just think its disgusting that stevie was let off- cause if joey barton goes to jail, why can't he? – he admitted to assualting (self-defece or no self- defence, his mates got done, he ought to get done as well)(also taking into account what erin said)- i'm not just saying this cause i'm a united fan, and i don't like liverpool, but the justice system is worrying that being said on a lighter note alex looks rather fabu! but your comments are just like carly zucker's – think before you talk! and i have those skinny jeans! not designer they are topshop i'm done now

Rough? She's having a laugh isn't she? I've never had any trouble in Liverpool, everyone is so easy going. Worst night out i've ever had was in London, fact!

That is funny coming from Alex, who got in trouble for seemingly glassing a girl in the face a few years back. Liverpool is like any city, with its rough parts but on the whole it isn’t that bad. There are definitely worse cities in the UK. Liverpool’s crime rate is much lower than it ever has been, and us scousers are generally pretty friendly, though course I’ve seen a few fights.
I feel sorry for Alex cause if you’re a scouse you’re meant to be overly loyal to the place and its a bit tiring, but when you get the same crap all the time its hard not to get your back up! Though its true that we don’t like people slagging it off and as someone who is from Liverpool and in a famous position, with a husband who is so widely recognised and in some places loved by the city, she should really just keep it to herself if thats her true feelings.
Tbh i’m not a fan of her and thats my personal feelings on the girl. Just stuff I’ve seen and heard in the city. I don’t think she’s really one to talk. Liverpool has been good to her by keeping things fairly within the city.

As for Liverpool is rough, can see why she likes London… London is rough as a badger’s backside! well parts of it! much much worse than Liverpool. the worst bits of Liverpool are your usuals, Norris G and that.

All I can say is that Alex looks smashing. She really has improved her fashion sense and I think that each and every Kickette needs to take credit for that. We've certainly given her hell over the years and it appears to be working. Well done Alex. Well done.

I am confused with the English justice system. How can all of his friends be guilty, but he is not, when the video show him (and not them) throwing punches?
Well done Steve, you got off and that is only good for English football, but having read part of the prosecuting QC’s summing up, there was never going to be any other verdict and this trial was for public show only.
Also to put the record straight, the ‘victim’ was not a United fan, but is actually a Manchester City fan.
So is Alex looking for a move to London now? LOL

Stevies Not Bad Either
In reading what I could about the trial, all of Stevie’s mates went back to take shots at the guy after Stevie left the room. So that’s where they pleaded guilty and not him. The clip that was released didn’t show the 2nd half of the nonsense.

But I have to imagine it is tough for them to go out in Liverpool. I’m sure it’s constant attention, and it would be negative attention from at least half of the population. All that said, they both look gorgeous!
