Those who have been reading this site for some time will be aware how big the news of Fernando Torres getting a haircut truly is. Election results? England squad selects and injuries? It’s all Eyjafjallajökull in comparison.

We’ve often waxed lyrical about our desire to see Fern go back to his youthful days at Atletico, when being friends with a shaver set to level 3 was just fine. And oh, how we’ve craved the knowledge of what Nando’s natural hair colour would be: the colour of freshly minted gold? A bountiful harvest of shimmering wheat? The rich tones of a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios?
You guessed right, dear readers: it’s all of those things.

I guess I'm curious as to what antics he's getting up to that could spin the story. I know he's always around for these antics (i.e. the Vegas trips, the use of his home as a brothel of sorts for JT, the boozy nights out..

What an improvement!! Seriously I thought he was gonna have that long blonde hair forever, this is a bit mullety still at the back but the rest is spot on, I just hope he stays away from hairdye, he is so working the natural colour!!

i didn’t mind the long hair at all… but i’m in the minority. i just hope it works at the WC. He had the exact haircut at the 2006 world cup and it didn’t do Spain much good, but then he grew it and dyed it blonde and voila… they won the Euro. I’m just saying… fingers crossed and hope they do brilliantly.

actually, he cut it short(ish) for the euro final, if i remember correctly. and that certainly seemed to work well for him

I think he looks so much better like this. I’ve actually never found him attractive, but this haircut may have changed my mind. I love it.

He looks so much better! If you see his picture in the official World Cup sticker album, it looks like he got out of bed, put the Spain shirt on, took the picture but forgot to comb his hair because it's a mess. This is a major improvement!
