End of Season Bundesliga Bits
FYI – According to unconfirmable sources, Luka is around two-years-old and is Arjen and wife, Bernadien’s first child. Mrs. Robben recently gave birth to the couple’s second child, named Lynn.
So, is there a universal rule about all toddlers named Luka being outrageously nummy?
We can’t decide which photo has the higher “aww” factor: Luka’s extra long Bayern Munich scarf or Alma Reina’s Fruity Pebbles ponytail? This one’s rather difficult; someone get Luka a teddybear to ease his worries.
Jens Lehmann looks great for an old fart. Saturday was his last home game for Stuttgart, as he’s retiring at the end of the season. Come this weekend, he will be a card-carrying AARP member. However, that doesn’t stop him and wife Conny from going at it like two teenagers at a car park.
Following their match with FC Köln, our arse-crack research team spent hours trying to figure out this chain of kneeling Freiburg players. It may have something to do with what’s on the backs of their shirts, but we can neither make out the letters or find a German translation. Are they searching the grounds for free burgers? We’ll take ours with cheddar cheese and tomato.
Schalke’s Manuel Neuer is quickly learning the gestures/dance to the Village People song “Y.M.C.A.” He’s going to need to learn that to entertain people at the World Cup, since he’s now the #1 German ‘keeper. (And as an aside, we’ve heard that it’s fun to stay there.)
This weekend is the last of Bundesliga; how do our German-loving Kickettes feel about that?
