Much like the great explorers of the past (but with better deodorant and less flea bites), we love making new discoveries. Especially these ones: they’re so fresh, ready for action and full of energy. Here are the boys that (thankfully) popped onto our radar in 2009.
DC United Chris Pontius:
He’s young, yet his hip dips are fully functional, and he’s comfortable getting naked in public. Sold!
Arsenal’s Thomas Vermelaen:
The poster boy for high SPF sun-screen, this sexy newbie had our heads turned and our stalking radar set to “graveyard.”
Manchester City’s Nigel de Jong:
We don’t need to get flowery or descriptive to make our case for Nigel’s inclusion. Homeboy. Is. Hot.
Sunderland’s Kenwyne Jones:
Oh, boy. His smile, his height, his all-round “je ne sais phroarr” factor? It all bought Kenwyne a ticket straight to the Finest Five list.
Al Shabab’s Adam Griffiths:
A true diamond in the buff. Discovering this fine Aussie boy came with a twin brother was better news than the Jimmy Choo H&M collabo.
