FIFA Comes Through: Sky Italia To Broadcast From Changerooms
No longer will we have to wait every year for Dolce & Gabbana to bring us behind the scenes with their infamous underrific advertisements. You can now have these scenes repeated weekly.
Dreams do come true, Kickettes. Or, in this case, delusional diatribes sent to FIFA during a late night brainstorming session can actually start coming to fruition.
We know. We’re scared too.
As reported in La Gazzetto del Sport, Sky Italia are bringing video cameras into the sacred dressing room space this season in Serie A.
So…
Right.
Sorry. We keep having to take pause as we’re struggling to write without cackling with glee and high-fiving each other.
Since many Italian players have no qualms about posing in their skivvies – or indeed, in the shower (see our boy Borri at left), we don’t expect much of a backlash over the announcement, which we assume pray will be in HD with full zoom functions.
Pato, our favourite Brazilian divorcé who currently plays for Milan and has little problem with public nudity, says:
“…This year it will be a different championship with the videocameras inside the changing room. It will be lots of fun, really great. It will also be important because it will demonstrate to all the fans in front of the tv how the changing room is before the match.”
It will be lots of fun, won’t it, Kickettes? Looking at you, EPL. Time to step up and give the many video-graphers in England their chance to shine.
[News spotted at James Horncastle's twitter.]

ay carumba! sweet jesus! this love has taken its toll on me…*faints*
I was clearly born on the wrong continent! It's just not fair. You European ladies have no idea how good you have it! I hate living in America…..perhaps it's time to expatriate myself.
Why was yesterday the one day I didn’t look at Kickette? *kicks self*
I am so stunned I have nothing clever to say, my brain’s hard drive has been overwritten.
Just one thought….maybe a weekly “surprise shower guy” interview? Just a thought. Or several.
Dang, there goes my workday!
And what about a compulsory towel sequence “a la Carles Puyol” ??
I sound ignorant here but does anyone know the name of the shaven-head hottie on the far-right of the picture? He looks like Santiago Munez from the Goal movies.
I know his last name is Blasi but the first name is escaping me because I can't take my eyes off of Canna.
Manuele Blasi his name is. Its good sign when there is not a bad picture of you on Google Images. Boy is fiiiiiiiiine!
I knew I was close. That Canna stole my ability to remember names…including my own.
With my basketball team we used to have so called disco showers after games, with cocktails, water balloons and it was lots of fun! I really hope someone in Italy picked up the trend…
Maybe they should throw in some naked wrestling, too. And I also hope they keep the cameras out of the area with the ice baths, because that would guarantee some huge…ummm I mean tiny… disillusions.
Wow!! Disco showers sound like so much fun, Im so gonna set this up after tennis trainings!! Thanks for the idea, it's brilliant
Now, this needs to happen in the Bundesliga.
Especially Bayern Munich.
Now, if you can somehow get a special camera focused very specifically on Philipp "I'm so adorable I'm sexy" Lahm, then, well, all bets are off!
oh, joy!! now i can see more ‘claudio marchisio in his undies’ footage…
Now lets get some of this going in La Liga (looking at you Madrid). But wait, actually, scratch that, they can’t put videos in the Madrid changing rooms, not if anyone expects me to be a functioning member of society any longer.
Ahahaha!
Love the way you think!
I’m an Arsenal fan and i too will be ‘disfunctional’ if they put a camera intheir changing room!
BEST. NEWS. EVER!!
They better start the viewing when players are shirtless!!
And here I was just drooling over the one picture which I had seen before and them boom! an even better news. Well not for me though. I won’t get to see it unless that some good soul decides to put in online and I won’t mind if its delayed by a couple of days since most tv providers give “preference” to the paying vieweres. Italy, how I love thee even before I loved football. I will never forget my first Italina baller love… Roberto Baggio…. Viva la Italia! Funny how the shower picture makes you want or need a shower but not for the reasons a player would take that shower, lol. Its just too hot today to have such hotness on my comp
I hope this will be a measure that all Football Federations will approve and then FIFA will apply it to the next Eurocup and World Cup!
Hell YEAH!!!
oh god please yes!
WE DID IT YOU GUYS!!!
High five!!
oh my.
Yet another reason why Serie A is the hottest league. And my favorite.
*does the dance of joy*
This is such joyous news… now if we could just talk the other leagues into it…
U know how it works the "If you want something done right, do it yourself" thing, Im off to La Ligua teams' locker rooms with my camcorder , you're in??
You had me at La Liga! *runs off to buy professional grade camera*
Julie, can I come too?
*googling the best deal for a decent camcorder pronto*
of course you can!! It is definitely one of those times worth living for when shared with girl friends
BRILL.
Errrrr how can you get this if you don’t live in Italy? (wishing, oh wishing I was)! The main picture made me go all fuzzy, this is what you need on a miserable rainy day
Maybe they might have player cam, where you can choose which player you want to watch in the dressing room????????
Player cam via the web? Oh I'd love it!!!!!!
Good job, Italian television! Setting the standard for the rest of the world!
…….
*silently jumping up and down and grinning with glee in her office chair*
*keeps her Cablevision rant to herself*
God bless you Serie A. God bless all Italians everywhere. Your country and culture are gifts to mankind (and femalekind!).
I feel like the angels have commenced singing from the heavens or something. This is amazing.
oh my… wow wow wow…
this is too good to be true!!!
ummm,is this for real??::puppy eyes::
LOL now i gotta refrain myself from watching serie A till ramadan's over..gahh~~
thankfully in my part of the world, they show matches at night. Stay strong sister!
thanks..i guess i just got to miss only their opening match, and its fine..
*pinching self to see if this is all a dream – a wonderful, scantily-clad, muscly dream* *sigh*
i'm italian…do you think it's time to get sky at home?
Ahah it's Gazzetta dello sport!! Otherwise I really like this thing because I'm italian and I have sky tv at home!! Yayyyy!!
Lots of fun! OH YEAH !!! Dancing at my room and singing : I'm so excited oh i'm so excited!!!
it's about time!!! this has to be one of the greatest moments in football history!
LMAO Lots of fun, what Pato says. Even though it causes excitement I won't be able to see it because of Cablevision. I feel your pain Dee.
For all that they charge us they should let us pick what channels we want instead of telling us what highway robbery level we have to pay.
FSC only shows the games, not the interviews. The other soccer channels do the same unfortunately.
Yeah, I know. Also cut short goal celebration man piles and shirt sharing post game.
This is the most beautiful day of my life *blinking back tears of joy*
Now, will U excuz me ladies, I have to go out and buy myself a life, lol
OMG!!! i was just scrolling down to write exactly the same thing!!!!
LMAO!!!!!!!!
Now i kinda feel bad because Borri might be moving to Spain u_u
Great minds think alike mon amie
