Francesco and Chanel Totti: Seal Bait
On first glance, we actually believed this was a real sofa-sized seal pictured with Francesco Totti and daughter Chanel at Zoomarine in Rome.
But it’s not.
Is it?
Seriously. We need answers.
It’s larger than our flat. So it must be made of stone. But if it is just a statue, surely the kids would just be riding on it and sticking chewing gum under its chin instead of stroking it?
Regardless, we’ll be seeing this in our nightmares tonight.
Update: The seal is real. His name is Vito. He weighs 440 kg. Thanks Malin!
The sea lion is cute – I like his whiskers hehe… Am not really a Totti fan so will just focus on the cute animal – will agree that they should probably leave the poor thing alone though…

According to the article, that is a 440kg sea lion named vito (!)
but oh my gosh, could you not just swoon over totti hotti and his bebes?
And I know that seal is huge/fascinating/terrifying, but how can you focus on anything else but that gorgeous hunk of Roman God!

That’s a sea lion (you can tell by the ears) and yes, they get that big! Not sure I’d let my own kids get too close…

Yoodle doo, Malin has your answers. It is, as LoLo stated further down, a sea lion, and after further investigation (I read the article) it is called Vito (Il leone marino, so there you have it) and he weighs a massive 440 kg!
