Pique is hosting a competition that goes by the twitter hashtag #hewiththecheckshirt (sorry I'm not Spanish). While I relish at the thought of extreme proximity with Gerard Pique, I'd rather NOT play football with said Spaniard. Did you guys see how he almost lost it playing against Sporting Gijon?

But, truly speaking, Pique and Shakira dont look much good together. They are better as friends.
My thoughts are thus: Ever since the World Cup in SA – all eyes are on Spain = Barcelona FC and Real Madrid. Their personal stats have shot sky high and they are gaining fans across the world daily, especially Barca. So her star is fading somewhat as new singers arrive monthly on the scene but linked to someone in Barca ….. the papparazzi are all over the place again….! And she is in the media again! At least she does not have to go without panties or shave her hair to get attention!!

I agree that she is slightly old for him. But hey! Geri is cute, and she is single. If I were her, I would totally go for it. But I am not her, and at this point I cant go for it. So I admit i envy her immensly! Just the chance to have Pique behind me….ahhhhhhh! i think my mind just exploded! All the possibilities!!!!

If it is something beetween them , im not shure if it will last that long . Shakira is 34 and will probably settle down , get married and get some kids soon. Pique is still young (not saying Shakira is old) he want to live his life , like Shakira have lived her life.

Second l, my logical, sane side loves Shakira! She’s gorgeous an I like her music. I went to her concert just his past October.
My illogical side, made so by Piqué’s extraordinary physique, thinks that she should be sent glamping. And stay there for awhile.

Shakira Shakira's hips might not lie, but her hair is pretty legit too. It's giving her like three extra inches of height. I'm kind of in awe of its brightness and can't put together a legible sentence about whether or not I think that they're dating.
In all seriousness, though, I wouldn't be surprised if he posted this himself in order to stop the crazy bidding war that has apparently been going on over a set of pictures of them. I could see this being a "hi, why yes, we're hanging out, now get over it please," sort of move.

I say friends, maybe "dating". It will not last long. She is 10 years older then him and in the end I think that will matter. But if if it is a fling I say "go get some girl!!"

Yeah, my first thought was "well, shit, that's annoying" bc a) I was still denying that this is true that they might be together and b) she looks FANTASTIC at 33 (scratch that—she looks fantastic PERIOD).

That may or may not be true but Carles is 11 years older than Malena. Why isn't anybody (I'm not referring to you specifically) saying anything about that, only mentioning his lack of appeal (come on, he's ADORABLE)? This bias has to stop because it is no longer relevant, at least when applied to celebrities. Shakira probably doesn't need an older man because, for starters, SHE is the wealthy, powerful one here as she was when she was with De La Rúa (SHE was the source of income and he was her employee, so to speak), which seemed to be no problem, and the man having "the upper hand" is the main reason why some (less and less, it has to be said) women prefer him to be of her age or older.
So, I ship'em fiercely lol. Even though I'm such a slasher and daydreaming that he's bisexual and all that.
A woman who is much older is relevant if she's planning on having kids. I mean her eggs won't stay young forever and for some reason I just can't see Gerard wanting to become a father in the near future.
But hey, that's just boring biology. If they're together, much luck to them.

A lot of women are having children later in life. I'm so sick of this sexism, as Black Rose mentioned Charles is 11 years older than Malena but I don't hear anyone saying that is a fling. Some guys/men prefer older women, maybe due to their confidence and because they are less prone to demanding & nagging as many of us younger females are known for. An older woman knows more about life & relationships and they may be finacially independant. Shakira is richer than Gerri, he may like the fact that she is ONLY in it for him, not his status as footballer nor his wealth because lets face it, her fame is out of this world and she is hella sexy. She may not have the biggest boobs or bum around but have you seen her dance? She looks like she is lost in her own world, nothing sexier than that

She just got out of a ten year relationship, and if she wants to rebound with a young hot footballer then more power to her! Personally, I don’t have any issues with Shakira. I've come around on Shakira and Geri. I really hope this isn't the typical May-December romance but after the Baroness-Nicky Bendtner split I'm not so sure anymore. Also, you have to factor in the long distance, Shakira spends most of her time in the Americas and Geri in Europe.
