Last night Monte Carlo played played host to the GoldenFoot 2012 awards, which were full of sexy-ass big, tall and weathy men who like to date hoochies. Damn it, what we wouldn’t have done to have been there.

Random: we’re currently blogging on the fly and using a laptop with a screen the size of an eyeshadow compact. Dear readers, can any of you click, zoom and confirm what exactly was happening with Zlatan’s hair? Was it…a messy bun? A snooze alarm that was slept through? An elastic that’s been stretched to the point of no return? Needless to say, he added in a cheesy hitch hiking “thumbs up!“ for the full dork-chic effect last night.

Note: we recognise that we may need to consult with a therapist to work through why this is actually a matter of importance to us. We’re do not need to be reminded, thank you.

  1. I am happy to come here and get latest update about such a videos and buy an essays uk avail on good prices

  2. Unfair, it should have been Xavi

  3. Stella says:

I just love Zlatan and I am so happy that he got this price. He had a amazing carrier so far. As a player he is Zlatan, no one is like him, big and really skillful. Even if he is controversial, people love him because he is always honest. He is funny to and have this spark in his eyes. I meet him twice, one before he was famous in a train station and he had the same manners as now. He is the same, not change a bit. He is a true inspiration for kids and even me as a football player. Who cares about his look its all about his way to play. He is the one with the power to win, he could change a hole team mentality. He could change a game and that special power does not so many players have.

I love the cheesy thumbs up! I'm so happy for Ibra–but then again, I'm biased. I think he's a sexy mofo with great footy skills and a bod I'd love to climb all over like a jungle gym! (And yes, i adore his big schnoz)

  5. S4Jill says:

I don't want to comment on Zlatan, I want to ask wtf the women behind him are wearing, those are the most ugly dresses i've ever seen, they barely cover the vijayjay and those bodies don't really suit those dresses either.

  6. Marika says:

And now ladies and gentlemen the one and only Zlatan Ibrahimovic… I am so happy for him, he looks like a kid under a christmas tree. You can think what ever you like about him as a person but you can`t deny his skills in the field. I simply truly love this man but it doesn`t mean I allways like his behavior.

  7. Scorpio Girl says:

I've never gotten the appeal of this man..his hair is ugly..nothing like the beautiful mane Ramos had..(still not completely recovered from that) the bun is ugly..the nose outsizes the bun.. and he's a douche to top it off. the only thing I will concede is his body is good.. thats it.. if he wasn't a footballer, girls would never even give him a 2nd glance. let's be honest..

  8. German_Girl says:

Congrats to the big Swede! Although I wish he'd cut his hair, there is just something about him…

  9. tammyv says:

yes it is a messy double pony tale making that loop…

also you cannot argue with him winning anything, he has won the league in each of his last seven seasons or something ridic like that

  10. Kristina says:

Wow, it's a big surprise that Zlatan won this before so many distinguished footballers on the shortlist. It's fans who votes, isn't it? I didn't vote, but I would've given my vote to Puyi even though I'm a Swede (big shame on me).

But I know he's very popular, and of course I'm proud. Especially since that moral victory in the game against Germany. I've never seen Zlatan so beat. He gave his all those 30 minutes, and so did many of the others.

  11. embla says:

Messy bun (and flat iron/straightener) ftw!

  12. Sarah, Madrid says:

Can't wait for pepe to win it next year then * roll eyes*

    • Wave says:

      Taking the literal path!

    • Kristina says:

I don't think he will make it to the shortlist. He hasn't been that successful, and that important for his team that Zlatan has. Plus, I don't think he has as many fans as Zlatan. But I could be wrong.

      • Sarah, Madrid says:

Pepe right now is in top 3 best defenders in the world, if not the best! He has been sucessful but he is not a forward so his success can't be majored by goals and people acknowledge, he is pepe too! His performance for Portugal too I don't think anyone can argue he is best after cristano!

        • Kristina says:

But Zlatan has a fantastic track record with his clubs, you can't deny that. Where he goes, they (usually) win. As he himself pointed out in his usual non false modesty manner :) .

          • Sarah, Madrid says:

Of course I won't deny it but golden foot is supposed to be won for personality too, am aware for the online voting system which this even more confusing because it seems like football fans like him for being Zlatan although sometime he is lose canon on the pitch, quite the douch outside it too! Should know why fans love him jeje

            • Kristina says:

Well, I think it's that "kid from the ghetto"-thing that people like. And that he never fakes it, unfortunately. People admire that. I think he can be pretty douchy sometimes, and as I said above I wouldn't vote for him despite the fact that he is my countryman. I can't forgive certain things. But I do love the way he acts around kids. And they love him. So their parents love him.

              • Sarah, Madrid says:

Never faking it is the reason why some hate others! anyway football fans are weird! With players like Raul, Iker and Puyol it would better if gone to them, anyway Zlatan footballing career is incredible, he got no chance for ballon d'or or even best player in Europe! it is good he wins something

                • Kristina says:

That's why I don't like him. Honesty is never automatically a virtue. It's sometimes stupid and often rude. Yeah, the people that admires Zlatan for that is the same people who think that Zlatan and Mou was the match made in heaven. That's very evident when you read Swedish blogs.

            • anon says:

And you think Pepe should win based on his personality on the pitch? Ok then….

              • Kristina says:

I'm quite sure that Pepe never will win a contest where personality and conduct is important. That Zlatan does says a great deal about the difference between him and Pepe though, when you think about it.

I look back at my comments and it almost seem like I hate Zlatan. I really don't. I just don't like that macho, semi-homophobic tough guy persona that he is sporting. But he doesn't have that almost psycho-killer air around him that Pepe has. When Pepe loses it you get scared. He looks like he is capable of anything. Plus that sneaky, malevolent side he showed when he stomped Messi's hand. And the dives. Zlatan is more like a straight up bully, you know.

I don't like any of it, but I think Zlatan is easier to relate to than Pepe. That said, I am happy for him. He has come a long way, he has fought hard and he deserves some recognition.

              • Sarah, Madrid says:

Well in reality, Pepe off the pitch at least never said to female journalist to go back to her house to cook or whatever, if you think that Zlatan on the pitch personality is any difference than Pepe then you need to watch his game more!
But am not going into this decision again, whatever Zlatan won it

  13. gillyrosh says:

Gosh. I simply can't resist him.

  14. elk63 says:

Only one man can carry off that hairstyle and its Zlatan. He is one of soccer's true originals – tells it like it is and ROCKS IT on the field. Also, in that skinny tie *sigh*.
