Gone Glamping: England National Team

You’ve heard about the whole ‘glamping‘ phenomenon, surely? Well what those luxury camping guides neglect to mention is why there is a need for canopies.

By now, if you don’t know the ins-and-outs of tent pitching, see Frank Lampard. It’s more than obvious that he’s a one-man show and a perfect pal to have whilst roughin’ it out in the woods.

Still, Steven Gerrard is onto something. For instance, when you’ve awoken from last night’s martini stupor and realize your SPF is expired, your sunnies have melted in the S’mores fire and all you need is Advil and some shaded area to rest beneath, Gerrard’s canopy could prove to be your saving grace.

Or, if your disdain for outdoor holidays is as strong as ours, a canopy could double as a party protector at your backyard party in the Hamptons/Cotswolds.

Get into football .. or just get into my pants baby !

2-1 baby. The only disappointing part was that Capello started all the World Cup flops. Why didn't he start players like Gibbs, Dawson, Zamora and Wilshere?

I'm hoping Kickette does a goodbye feature on David Beckham. Capello is up to his usual "Beckham is not a part of this team" nonsense. We all know how it ended the last time.

I really can’t get over how that man still has a job. He’s barely better than McLaren!

so why's stevie the only one wearing capris? I guess they're reserved for the captain

I want to enjoy the show, but I can’t get over Steve saying Joe Cole is as good as (or better than) Messi. He must be huffing his wife’s hairspray.

OMG! I read that and immediately thought “Stevie, leave that crack (the drug…not the other meaning :D ) alone!” Surely it was said in jest!

I never really saw the Stevie attraction until I saw him on an interview yesterday about the England team. Such a cutie!

It was a ridiculous comparison to make, but in Stevie’s defense he was talking about doing tricks with the ball (and golf balls) in training. Apparently he’s quite good.

Wow, Wayne is beyond pale. Get out a little little more, mate!

Today England-Hungary friendly game in London. That’ll be interesting..unfortunately we’ve got a weak national team but players like Fulham’s Gera – who scored 3 goals last weak against Werder Bremen – could play well. For England it’s very important to game very well after the weak World Cup performance.

    I’d nestle beneath Stevie’s canopy anytime…
They look remarkably relaxed for people who are about to be put in the Wembley stocks as target for enraged mob armed with contents of fridge bought for world cup final barbeque parties.

  11. Thea says:

Good play Kickette – trying to distract us from the evitable booing that will occur tonight!!

It looks like Wayne has been indoors all summer.
No crispy suntan, or is that the result of smoking.

  13. I'm supporting Ipswich Town's Tamas Priskin and Marton Fulop (if they play) tonight. I cannot describe how sick I am of the England S&M show.

  14. tammyv says:

Capello should have pulled a Blanc and benched all their asses

Lovely Stevie. Even in pedal-pushers he's delicious!
