Good Week/Bad Week: Let Them Eat Cake

In case you’re not familiar, Good Week/Bad Week is the post we cobble together on a Friday morning to reference all the stuff we forgot/couldn’t be bothered/were too drunk to post during the week.
There’s no point in lying, now is there?
Slammers All Round: Our coverage of the MLS is notoriously sporadic. And in a shameless attempt to attract our attention, the organisation has announced a new sponsorship deal with the owners of Casa Herradura Tequilas. Hmm. Time for an editorial policy meeting, we think.
Doing Bird: Remember ‘owl offender’ and all round unpopular fool Luis Moreno? Well, aside from the two match ban he got for kicking to death the hapless bird that had the temerity to pass through his airspace, it has been announced that his punishment for the offence includes community service at the local zoo. Aside from hoping that Moreno learns to respect the creatures we’re fortunate enough to share the planet with, we can’t help but offer a little prayer that he gets trapped in an enclosure and sat on by say, a large flatulent buffalo. At best.
Rooney Re-Invention: After months of bad press, Wayne Rooney’s campaign to prove that he is really a nice boy continues apace. First up, he joins Twitter, a move interpreted by some to be in response to wife Coleen’s recent abuse at the keyboards of fellow Tweeters. His profile picture is a pic (left) of the cute couple, natch. With that area covered, Wayne was then moved to apologise to the Manchester United fans peeved that he voiced a desire to leave the club last year. A genuine effort or a publicity driven ploy, peeps?

We love you just the way you are, Frankie. Siriusly.
Say Hello, Wave Goodbye: More Manchester United related Twitter news, with Darron Gibson making a brief appearance on the site before cancelling his account. Apparently, Rio Ferdinand’s tweet announcing the midfielder’s arrival prompted ‘fans’ to bombard Gibson with abusive messages questioning his skills and right to play for the club. Gibson’s account then vanished, although it has been claimed that he quit because ‘he couldn’t be bothered with it’.

Ratings Wrath: Having premiered with 248,000 viewers, we would have thought that Yolanthe Sneijder (our best effort at shortening her name) would have her fingers crossed that ratings would improve for the second episode of her TV show ‘The Perfect Image’. Unfortunately, they didn’t and her devil-may-care attitude to the problem has angered the chief of broadcasting in The Netherlands, Paul Romer. Whoopsie.
Going Up?: Our gorgeous girlcrush Frankie Sandford has hinted that bigger boobs might be on her mind. The Saturdays singer and girlfriend of West Ham defender Wayne Bridge admitted she suffers from body hang ups and although her bottom half makes her self-conscious, a bit of inflation in the top half wouldn’t go amiss either.
Frankie. Luv. It’s too soon in our relationship for you to be provoking the Kickettes. They no likey the fakey.
