Grappling Over Genitals: Ricardo Quaresma & Ahmed Nur Cebi

Does this look like a dude who’s trying to take Mario Balotelli/Joey Barton’s coveted Chief Hooligan of Looking, Acting and Talking co-titles?

Well if Ahmed Nur Cebi’s allegations turn out to be true, then yes.

The backstory: Cash-strapped Besiktas was trying to ease the burden of its high wage bill since last summer, and took several measures including the selling of players such as Simao Sabrosa, Egemen Korkmaz and Fabian Ernst to balance their budget. The Turkish Super League club asked Ricardo Quaresma to either accept a pay cut or find another team for 2012-13, and after spending the first two months of this season out of the line-up, the ex-Barcelona/Inter Milan/Chelsea/Sportin/Porto player ultimately relinquished 750,000 euros from his annual 3.75 million euro salary.

All seemed well.

Until this past weekend, when sh*t hit the fan. Again.

Following the team’s 1-1 match against Trabzonspor, Ahmed Nur Cebi, a member of Besiktas board, claimed the “real” reason the Portuguese international fell out-of-favour with the financially struggling side was because he (supposedly) showed his genitals to a woman working at the club’s training facilities – as well as (supposedly) peed on the team’s outfitter and equipment handler.

Now that’s some serious fightin’ talk if we ever heard any.

Needless to say, the footballer didn’t take too kindly to Nur Cebi’s accusations and plans to sue executives of the Besiktas board.

Does Quaresma seem like the type to inspire the purchase of a nice black-market pepper spray to you, Kickettes? Or just the kind of guy who could start a diamond encrusted argument in an empty room?

I believe it. Quresma is known for losing his temper. I remember a story that he kicked his teammate during Euro 2012 practice bc Quresma lost his temper.

pretty messed up if he flashed a staff member.
