Hip, Hip, Hooray: Leo Messi Wins The Golden Boot, Becomes A Father

Cheers to Lionel for having a helluva stretch of good fortune – first he was named the 2012 Golden Boot Winner, and now he’s a first time father following the birth of his son, Thiago!
Excused from Barcelona’s morning training session to be by his lovely-locked WAG, Antonella’s side, the 25-year-old Argentina forward effectively ended that random baby photo‘s solid monthlong run around the rumour mill by confirming his son’s arrival via Facebook.
In a recent interview with Spanish newspaper El Pais, Messi said he was looking forward to becoming a father: “I’m prepared for Thiago’s arrival, it is very exciting….It makes you think of things in a different way. You can no longer just think about yourself, you think about him, and how you hope he doesn’t have any problems.”
Congrats to the couple and their naturally inclined nutmegger*!
*He’s destined to follow his father’s path one way or another, so we’re accepting such outlandish internet rumours as 100% fact.
