Ilary Blasi: Loses Clothes, Does Vanity Fair
Francesco Totti’s wife, Ilary Blasi, is featured on the October cover of the Italian Vanity Fair.
Why is this news? Well, aside from the fact that she’s rather gorge – and photographed wearing Chanel - Ms B expels quite a few interesting bits of information about her lifestyle and her relationship with Francesco. We’ve translated the juicer bits of the story for your perusal after the jump.
But – a word of warning – Ilary is head and shoulders above any WAG diva you’ve previously come in contact with. Par example: “Francesco was shy, sensitive and super jealous but he’s changed. I had to work hard on him – he was a man from last century.”
And our personal favourite: “It bothers me that nobody thinks that Saint Ilary could have a lover in Milan…”
You were Totti’s girlfriend, then his wife – do you think that played a part in helping your career?
“Of course. Francesco is the queen bee, and everyone’s attracted to him. This doesn’t mean I didn’t work hard.”
Do the soccer fans affect your love for Francesco?
“Yes… I admire their passion. Even if I still haven’t properly understood their passion. I don’t see Totti the idol.”
How do you mean?
“Sometimes I don’t understand if he has played better than another player. For me he is only my husband.”
The shirt he wore that said, “you’re the one” – who was that dedicated to – you or the fans section in the stadium?
“Are you crazy? Me.”
Totti says he’s ready for a third child.
“Let him say what he wants. I’m 27 and I am not about to say no more, but I want a break, Christian and Chanel have worn me out.”
What will you call the next child?
“We got criticized for naming our daughter Chanel. But no one said anything about Lavinia Elkann calling her child Oceano. If she were born in Milan, where they name their daughters Diamante, Chanel would have sounded better.”
Interviewer goes into her home where he meets her son, daughter and Francesco – who is sleeping on the couch.
“Look, Francesco is like this, one day they paint him as a hero, the next day he is a womanizer, and then he returns to being the person who helps the poor. But I’m always the one who pays the consequences.”
“I am the most cheated on wife in Italy – isn’t that what the Italian papers say? I’ve learned not to pay any attention to it anymore. It bothers me that nobody thinks that Saint Ilary could have a lover in Milan…”
Are you thinking about the scandal with Flavia Vento (Italian showgirl/B grade actress who claims to have had an affair with Totti)?
“It was incredibly vicious. I was pregnant – I could have lost the baby due to the shock. No one thought of that?”
Vento talked about the affair in an interview; it wasn’t gossip…
“It’s her word against Francesco. I was in a bad state, I was consumed by the situation like a crazy person. But fortunately Francesco and I have the same values, the same philosophy for life, the same objectives and our love. I never doubted him.”
What do you think of Vento?
“It’s not her fault. She was promised a lot and she believed them. I have a problem with the person that constructed the story and was able to sell it. It’s absurd but I know it could happen again, in two years or in two months. I saved myself with pride.”
