Niklas Bendtner’s infamous fuchsia boots finally did the trick. (As we’re sure you know, boys wearing pink boots wasn’t something most macho men thought could work for them on the pitch).
Arsenal must be thanking the Pantone colour team at Nike for these lucky boots today, though, as Niklas’s last-ditch 87th minute goal was the only thing that saved Arsenal from an embarrassing Champions League draw against Dynamo Kiev. Arsenal now goes through to the knockout rounds, and pink gets it’s vindication.
