Jack Rodwell: Hot Off The Presses

Image via facebook.

Having barely recovered from being unceremoniously dumped from the Finest Five, here’s Jack Rodwell sporting the official Team GB footie kit for London 2012.

Apart from the fact that the damn thing isn’t nearly tight enough in the shorts area, what are your initial reactions, Kickettes?

Sheez. How tight can that thing be? I like the design, but is that even comfortable?

  2. PhilippaB says:

Blimey. Presume that comes as an aerosol can and a set of stencils.

I like that it's tight…but yeh, definitely needs more red.

Meh. I'm more excited about the fact that Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey will be playing with Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard.

    • Lexia269 says:

Except they won't be if Rooney and Gerrard are in the Euros squad; players have been told they can't play in both. :(

Meh. Should have had more red. The Union Jack is so stylized you can't even tell what it is.

On the plus side, I like the fact that it's nice and snug.

Exactly! I can barely tell that's the Union Jack. It's worse for some of the other Team GB uniforms, all you see is the top quarter of the flag so it just looks like an odd bunch of watery geometric shapes. I think Stella McCartney tried to get too cute and creative with the design, to the point that it's become perhaps too abstract for the public.

I don't like the top at all…. definitely lacking class and sense of footie. I agree with Danielle! It looks like a cycling top.

i love this guy.. he may play for everton but i will always have a soft spot for him……..

  8. Fraaan says:

if they're going to wear tops that tight they may as well just take them off ;)

  9. Carolina says:

I think over time it will grow on me.

I'm not keen on the top. It looks more like a cycling top that a footie one.
