Javier Zanetti & Alessandro Del Piero: Wildly Differing ‘Do’s

As you can see from this collection of Panini stickers currently doing the rounds, Alessandro Del Piero has enjoyed a wide variety of hairstyles during his illustrious Juventus career.
“Why do I care?” you’re asking yourself. Well, he’s been at Juve forever. No one can be expected to retain the same bouff for decades.
Apart from Javier Zanetti, obviously.
Why was there not a Panini card (by the way, I'm in the US and envious that *I* didn't grow up with Panini cards!) when ADP shaved his head for the World Cup in 2006? Maybe his hair grew back in time for his next Panini closeup?

Ah, panini stickers. I nearly had a full Italia '90 album of those when I was growing up. Unlike Zanetti at any point in his life, I'm showing my age here…
I used to do the Merlin ones when I was way too old. My friend and I nearly completed an album of these when we were 17. We would have completed it except we stuck Ken Monkou in the wrong place, or something. A year later, I seem to recall we did it again and stuck Nelson Vivas in upside down because we had an inside joke about him hanging upside down. (My friend's mum was cleaning her room and knocked a poster of him off the wall, didn't notice, and neither did my friend because she's partially sighted. I spotted it a while later, so we turned all the pictures of Nelson Vivas upside down and made up a story that Chris Perry gave him a disease that made it happen.)
As for the subject at hand, how come old haircuts – even those from a couple of years ago – always look wrong? At least Del Piero's face has always made up for it!

How is it that Del Piero still remained beautiful throughout all of those different hairstyles?!!??
Zanetti has looked the same for the past 15 yrs. Thats creepy coz at 37 he looks the same as he was at 22 and people say Messi is an alien.
