Jose Mourinho: Back to Work

Is anyone else really missing Jose Mourinho in the EPL? We would have liked to have seen how he would be handling the Robinho to Man City snatch and grab, not to mention his Autumn/Winter 08 collection of suits and overcoats.

Mourinho has officially headed back to the pitch for his first season managing Inter Milan, and has just welcomed new signing, winger Ricardo Quaresma. (Btw, RQ: hottie or nottie, Kickettes? Check him out here with Nani and a fetching manbag).

Jose’s also told the official Inter site that Frank Lampard was on his way to the Italian Leagues but had second thoughts:

“When I arrived at Inter, I asked the president, Marco Branca, Gabriele Oriali and the club for three players: Mancini, Quaresma and Lampard. The club has given me Quaresma and Mancini, and did everything to get Lampard, and when Lampard changed his mind, I said my alternative was Muntari and the club gave me Muntari.“

The ever-talented Muntari was definitely a good buy for Jose, but not necessarily the transfer that would have increased viewing figures exponentially for Inter games. That could have been done quite easily with the combination of Lampsy and his short shorts running happily alongside Luis Figo and his stuffed shorts.  Sky Sports subscriptions would have gone through the roof.

I am SO missing Jose it’s ridiculous. He brings so much hilarity to the EPL. As far as Quaresma goes, he definitely has potential but I’m not sold yet.

I DO NOT miss Moaninho. He made me want to stick pins in my ears. I'm glad he's working in a league I don't watch.

OMG I love the look on Jose's face in this pic – HA! I love how big his ego is and how much he doesn't bother hiding it… I'm in Australia so I don't really mind if he's in EPL or Serie A :P and I'll have to go with nottie re Queresma – he's a brilliant footballer though and a great signing for Inter

I couldnt possible ever let Lampard leave the EPL especially chelsea. even if it did mean that italy had a bit of eye candy. not gonna happen :| ! i miss mourinoho, i wish he would come backkk!

Quaresma is hot as hell and one helluva a baller. I would have loved for us to have gone after him. I don't really miss or not miss Mourinho. His press conferences were entertaining sometimes I guess.

  12. Tres Bien says:

I do miss him being plastered all over, but I'm ok with it since he seems well suited (no pun intended) at Inter. At least his Italian is 150% better than before!

  13. mrs jt ;) says:

well i kind of do miss him actually, but we can live without him, and as long as i've still got my lampard, everythings okay :)

I'm watching all the Serie A I can get so I don't miss him. "Il Specialle" is even better than the Special One. But I think the PL misses him, he left a huge void no one else can fill.

FYI – Figo has been called into action for Soccer Aid 2008 this weekend at Wembly along with Jamie Redknapp and many others.

I MISS TSO! I miss him so very much. We know why TFO doesn't miss him (for those who don't see his record against ManU). I do miss him and his shananagins. Big Phil has yet to offer the entertainment value

I miss Jose like a fat kid misses cake. I love that man!

I miss Jose. I really do! He just added so much to the touchline. A snarl here. A psuedo obscene hand gesture there. Sigh. Selfishly, I wish he came back to the EPL. Just look how in love he is with all those cameras?? As for RQ…Ick by association, hanging with Nani!!lose that girl blog

  20. aristeia says:

Haha, Jose just moved to another team I cheer against. But man, he IS the special one, isn’t he? Lol, he is something else. Oh and Quaresma… not too shabby.

It is so strange to see him at another club. It’s like the whole world is seeing your best friend’s husband out to dinner with another woman and no one seems to think it’s strange. Lame analogy, but it’s the closest I can get to how it feels. I’m a Scolari fan, but I miss Jose. Oh, how I miss him!! Sometimes it *still* just seems so impossible that he’s not the Chelsea manager anymore.
