Kickette Academy: Score Two For Us

Manchester United’s star striker. The other one is in Dubai having chicken nuggets. (Getty Images/Zimbio)

We would be delighted to take this opportunity to bask in the reflected glory of Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez. You see, we identified this bubba early as a potential winner in a Manchester United shirt; granted not in the traditional footballing sense, but it all counts.

Cheech has now scored six goals in his first eleven appearances for the club, including two in last weeks EPL game against Stoke City and the winner last night in United’s narrow 3-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the League Cup.

Need further proof of our astonishing headhunting powers? The first goal in the same game was scored by Bebe, another alumnus of the Kickette Academy of Baby Ballers. (Getty Images/Zimbio)

Pat yourselves on the back, Kickettes. Long may our successful identification of footie hotties prospects continue!

The rest of the League Cup results can be found here.

I know these nationalistic messages aren't really kickette-like, but I just swell with pride when I see this adorable bubba running around scoring goals and representing Mexico :) He's just incredibly wholesome and respectable. Ah. What I wouldn't give to run some -ehem- "laps" with him. ;)

  2. C16 says:

I remember when he scored his first goal as a professional.
I have to say honest and say that I really didn't think he would get this far. He made me ate my own words and I hope he keeps doing good.
    Keep proving me wrong Chicharito!!!!

  3. IrishBlue says:

Oh Little Pea…..why do you have to be so darn cute??? Though as a Chelsea/Wolves fan you are making it hard for me to love you!

Yes, and now we don't function at all! Did you catch the Toluca game? Awful. Even with 1 more man we couldn't manage.

  9. aps says:

Bebe has a little tent going on there.

  10. Whitney says:

My three year old daughter looks for Chicharito whenever there's a football match on. She thinks he plays for every team! I have ruined this child already, but at least she has great taste. My hubby is shaking his head! LOL!
I was very proud of the Little Pea for the two goals he scored against stoke. Who needs rubbish rooney!?

  11. crss2001 says:

I adore him! Although i’m a little hurt he left us (Chivas) I simply adore him and am so excited and happy that he is doing so fabulously in Europe! He deserves it! So many other players from Mexico need to learn from him…

  12. mimis says:

He is a great player. He was dating Leticia from Mexico, but I read on the news that he is dating a young actress, Chaska Borek from England.

  13. eeraaa says:

I'm as pleased as punch to see Chicharito scoring. Did we need those goals or what? Now Mr. Rooney can take as long as he wants in Dubai. We have a new LOYAL goal scorer in the house (how cute is it when he kisses the badge??). Hopefully he continues his good form and Sir Alex keeps playing him regularly.

    • eeraaa says:

As a side note about Rooney: You'd think that if you just signed a new controversial deal worth a hell of a lot more than your more productive teamates' contracts, you would stay in the country and work on getting back to top form and getting the ankle better. Just a thought I was having.

  14. Emme says:

Not a follower of ManU, but I am hoping things work out for Bebe – I can't believe he was an orphan! Such a cutie with a lot of Kickette potential.

  15. Kickette should get a scouting fee or something at least like a bonus from Sir Alex. He might have some extra cash on hand after having to make multiple trips to the Glazer ATM in order to keep Rooney happy.

    – I think these MU babies were given a great ego boost by their appearance on this blog.

  16. Giggles says:

Love our Little Pea. He's gonna be a star, I can feel it!

Wow Bebe seems very happy to be playing for us in that pic. Calm down lad, you'll have someones eye out with that!

  17. kitty1979 says:

What a smashing game, Fairplay to Wolves.
I think we've got a future Man U legend on our hands! Back to winning ways……………………..Wayne who??

  18. Jo_ says:

Only ten minutes on the pitch and it was magic! Santa, may I have a Cheech of my very own?

Bebe is a big boy and he's not afraid to get physical. I like what I've seen so far!

  19. Caitlin says:

He is soo cute! I think he looks younger than his 22 years.

With him and Berbatov, I don't think Man Utd really need Rooney.

  20. Leya_S says:

My darling, Chicha, how I love thee.

I first saw him at World Cup, and was like a) he's awesome, b) he's hot. So when he ended up at ManU, I wasn't surprised since Fergie is really good at those sorts of things (aka finding amazing (and often pretty) young players).
And on top of that, he's classy…watch some of his interviews, he's a model footballer.
I'm excited to see great things from him.

  21. Missy Manchester says:

And to think he isn't peforming at peak potential yet!

Sir Alex (who rarely overstates anything) says Chicharito is deserving of his present hero status:

"Javier is very professional, the first out on the training ground and the last one back in every day and he's rightly getting a lot of praise for his goalscoring."

I have high hopes for the Little Pea!

  22. We made hard work of it against Wolves, but Bebe looked good if a bit raw. But Chicharito is frickin' amazing!! What a star!

Thrilled about Ipswich Town's win as well. And congratulations to Roy Keane for reaching the final 8 of a Cup competition for the first time in his managerial career. So so happy for him. Just please don't draw United in the next round, please? *prays to footy gods*

I'll take Ipswich Town v Manchester United in the final at Wembley, and if that happens, I *will* be there!!

  23. Berbie's Barbie says:

As a Man United fan, I'm extremely pleased with our little Chico's recent performances. I just have one problem. I can't focus on the games anymore. I get all breathless when the camera zooms on his pretty eyes and the "he makes me go weak in the knee" smile. That boy, is indeed hot like Mexico :D
