Kickette Catch Up: Weekend Gossip Cheat Sheet
Kaka spent the weekend with his son Luca at Copa S.M. el Rey: Trofeo el Corte Ingles horse championship in Madrid.
Saturday
- Delusion Clothing shared their plans to feature Micah Richards and Joe Hart in an upcoming something-or-other that hopefully involves the Manchester City males’ bare torsos. Kickettes needn’t worry: we will be watching this space closely to share updates on Hart’s “happy trail”.

- The Guardian provided an in-depth study of the city of Manchester’s footballer-wrangling scene amid speculation that one of England’s more infamous hookers is set to spice up television sets near you.

I would have appreciated a heads up on the last link as I was in the library and people thought I was looking up call girls. it’s unfortunate that these players have such shallow egos that cause them to date “those women”. I mean how low is your self-esteem that you cannot date an intelligent woman who would make a great partner.
The only exception to this is Torres and his wife who went to school for a degree and is now working and making her own money. I mean these women have a history of dating almost every player, being strippers/call girls at some point in history, and trying to squeese as much money out of the players as they can. No wonder they can’t afford to buy better clothes!
As much as I want to be a WAG, my dignity comes first.. and unlike the women who seem to be the most “attractive” to players who shall not be named.. (*cough* Ronaldo, ashley cole, etc.) I would rather work my way though school to earn money than sleep with every man on the Primer team to get a purse.

No. She’s quiet, relaxed and intelligent. For me, that’s the most important thing.
But Olalla is not the only exception- Cesc's girlfriend Carla is a psychology student like DJ says, Patricia (David Villa's wife) was herself a footballer till the age of 17, and even Sara Pastasauce had her own career and got plenty of attention in her own right before she began dating Iker. Kaka's wife is also very low-key, we hardly know anything about her (btw, their mini-me is ADORABLE, between young Luca here and Nando's daughter my ovaries have been busted).
It's sad that the antics of some people lead to an entire bunch of young women being stereotyped like this.

Another WAG who gladdens my heart is Kuyt's wife, Gertrude- she hung on to her job as a nurse after she married him! I didn't believe it in this day and age, but bless them (I'm not even a fan of his).
Hmm…reading this makes me realize that most of the Spanish WAGs are “not-your-typical-WAG”. Looks like La Roja has good taste in women. Well, except poor Sergio Ramos who I’ve seen with questionable women but eh… it’s okay.
Y’know, I can’t decide wither his dress sense is more questionable than his dating sense, maybe they’re just two areas in which, let’s say, his judgment is not as it should be.
Iker’s a serial dater, but at least the women he does date seem ok (I go against popular opinion on Kickette re: Sara, but hey)
Slightly OT, but where does the info about Fernando's missus having a job come from- and what does she do? I know she was a student when she moved to Liverpool with him, but with one toddler and another baby on the way I wonder how she finds the time for anything! I still think they're an adorable couple though.

I totally agree. It's horrible gold digging and it's sad that so many young women seem to think the path to success is who you shag, rather than what you accomplish for yourself. Also, are footballers really marrying women who do this? Hook ups, sure, but real relationships?

These women are a disgrace to all the hard working women who go and step up for themselves, make a living on their own and be independent regardless of whether they ar eina relationship or not. It is like the emancipation movement never happened. These women lead 50 years of feminism ad absurdum.
I agree with all these comments. It's just sad. Firstly, bishes like this make us all look bad. Way to set feminism back a few decades, girls.
But then I think that these girls really must have low self-esteem. I mean, how much can you respect yourself if the only thing you think you have to offer is your body, and you're willing to sell it? How much do you think your partner will respect you?
I mean, I may not have Shakira's abs but by this time next year I'll be a qualified attorney, supporting myself and doing something I can be proud of. I know so many strong, successful women who just command respect. None of us are married or even thinking about it because we have too much we want to accomplish first. Oy, would be WAGs and jersey chasers are some of the most single-minded, scary people in the world. Last year (in the US) some woman set up a web site where you could obtain the..ahem… specimen of certain pro athletes. You know, just in case you wanted to have a kid with a man you never met. I don't even want to know how she collected her wares.
My first thoughts too. Seriously girls? Have you no shame?! Of course the guys are going to look at you, dressed like skanks and all.
So glad I am not the only one who feels this way. I know we all go on this website to ogle the players and make our comments and such. So glad the women of kickette have more class than these women. I love footballers not just for their incredible looks but also for their footballing skill and while meeting one would be great I’d prefer a man who will be faithful than a player who will… well “play”. I am saddened these women are only in it for the money and are willing to give sexual favours to bouncers and the like to get to married players! And altho it must be hard with all these women literally throwing themselves at players why cant these men keep it in their pants adn meet normal women. Thank goodness for Nando and Cecs WAG’s and the like.
